MU Hulk Fix

4 Attachment(s)
I have been fiddling with fixing Hulk for a LONG LONG time. Mostly i kept tossing him on the back burner being I am not a HUGE Hulk fan like others. When I saw the WWHulk, I knew I had to finish mine.

Below is a description of the surgery i did on Hulk..

Torso Surgery...

I popped apart the lower torso on Hulk and removed the legs from it. Then i drimmeld out the cavity so that it was hollow except for the area that holds the lower torso to the upper torso. In this cavity I inserted the hips (only the hips) from a broken MLS Juggs and glued it in place (this took some sanding on all parts involved. Thi allowed for the leg/hip balls from the MLS to sit up inside the MU hip socket. Once all of these pieces were fitted, I went back over it with some glue and sealed it back up to dry over night.

Leg Surgery...

The legs were a bit easier to fix than the torso. I took an exacto blade and ran it inside the leg along the ring post that attaches the leg to the torso (severing the post holding it in place) on both sides until the ring could be removed. Then I cut out the inside of the thigh along the area that previously held the ring in place. Once this area is removed, i took my drimmel and created a cavity inside the leg (using sanding and griding bits to enlarge the cavity). I enlarged the cavity inside the leg to the point that it would hold the ball joint from the MLS Juggs (plastic was warm so was able to push in an make indentures where needed) then i drilled a hole in the leg to allow for the MLS leg peg (too lazy to cut off... in case it did not work). Once the MLS piece was fitted inside the MU leg i glued it in place and again glued them and let them sit over night.

Not a lot of work on this project but some. Here are a couple more pics of the improved (slightly- have an idea to do another in a new fashion that tops this one- i HOPE).

Nice but I think that his legs need to be bigger.

That looks good, man. The flesh hulk looks creepy, btw. :p

thanks. With the new Hulk out, I may have to revisit this one and convert him over to the newer legs.

As for the 'flesh' Hulk I was trying for Strong Guy but put that one aside... who knows how long.

Good fix, I like how this was posted in 8 months after its last post......the new MU Hulk should be far better than any MU out there yet.

Nice fix on a figure that should have set the standard on big figures!

Really nice Sir on the Hulk fix here. figure looks great but maybe a little more bulkier legs will do more justice. other than that its all good. =)

Those are the same legs that came with him. All I did with them is open up the torso and the cut out the eye/ring from inside the thig and then open up the cavity enough to put the hip joint from a MLS Juggy.

Oh that's all? lol

He looks great though, man. Nice work.

I wish that I had the artistic ability of the customizers around here. I want to learn to sculpt. As it stands, basic swapping and simple engineering changes is as far as I can go.

I was being sarcastic about when you said that's "all" you had to do, because it actually seems like a lot to me.

It's a pretty cool fix that probably 95% of the people on this forum couldnt simply do without some practice and effort.

Understood. And the first time I tried I agreed with it being a lot of work. But with Star Wars limiting the hip articulation I did similar things several years back to my Jedi and Sith.

TY- But I am sure alot of people can/could do it. It helps to bounce my ideas off of other such as Firmpulse and Onyx... and then just being willing to sacrafice parts to see if something is possible or not... regardless of aestetic value.
