Fantastic Four death revealed (SPOILERS)!
 

San Francisco Chronicle broke out the story earlier. The FF member who dies is The Human Torch/Johnny Storm.

Guaranteed the death doesn't last. I give it 6 - 8 months tops. Once the novelty of the whole storylien wears off, and F4 sales plummet, they will have no choice.

Well duh, of course they killed him off. They need him to play Captain America.

It's not like it really matters who in the FF gets killed off, because Kid MacGuffin will bring them back.

This story made it into a national newspaper in the UK!

Roy Thomas (former editor-in-chief) is quoted as saying (of comic heroes), 'You can't bury them deep enough or tear them into enough pieces'.

That is a brilliant quote and all too accurate.
