Playmates Toys Lands Star Trek XI Movie Toy License In 2009
 

Paramount Pictures feature film, Star Trek XI debuting May 8, 2009 will helm Toys produced by Playmates, a long time holder of the license for much of the 90s which ended in 2000.

Playmates has designed life-like articulated figures, iconic vehicles, intricately detailed playsets and exciting role-play toys.

Kids and Collectors can Beam Up with the Enterprise Transporter Room and Bridge Playsets, featuring real working parts and accessories packed out with figures that allow them to create brand new Star Trek Movie Adventures.

The new license for Playmates is limited to just the new Star Trek XI Movie Toys. This means that Diamond Select Toys will still continue with its line covering all other aspects of the Star Trek Franchise.

looks like a good line. I have most of the original Playmates line, but this time I think that I might go for the 3 3/4 line, especially with the bridge playset.
