I hope this means finally an anti-venom figure.

I wonder if this means they'll end the current kid-oriented line after the 2011 series? If they're planning a huge Spider-Man line for 2012, one would think they would want to focus just on that. Especially when they'll have a giant Avengers line, MU, and Legends as well.

Also, the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon starts in the fall. I would think/hope to see a line based on that since the Spectacular Spider-Man line did well.

I hope they never stop kids's oriented toylines. Toys are MEANT for kids. The whole concept is to have little Billy and Suzie want to collect all of them to play with, lose 'em, and have mommy and daddy buy more. Collectors account for less than 10% of their total business I'd imagine. It always pisses me off when 40 yr old nerds (ESPECIALLY in the transformers boards) whine about a toy or cartoon being too "childish". And these people wonder why they got beat up in highschool and never got laid.... *rolls eyes*...

Anyway... I'd love Hasbro to do more Marvel playsets. ESPECIALLY Spider-Man. A Daily Bugle playset would ROCK. Remember back in the 80's when EVERY toy series has at least two playsets. He-Man, GI-Joe, Ninja Turtles, etc... Hell, even Police Academy had a funhouse police station! C'mon Hasbro... bring the love! I buy my 6 and 3yr old all your toys, but they have nothing to play with them on!

They had the Diamond Select Anti-Venom, but that was horribly overpriced for how badly it was made. Seriously... I saw several figures at Suncoast and all of them looked like a 3yr old painted them... and they wanted $30 for the thing! A decent Marvel Legends 8 inch toy would be just fine with me, too. Would go well with my 8in Spider-Man 3 Venom.

And here we go again with the "toys are for kids" excuse. If we're gonna go that route, do us a favor. Go find some kids to tell about it and stop bugging us. I just wish they would at least do SOMETHING for us collectors.

And how do you know we never got laid, hmmmmm? Ohhh, I could tell you stories...

Agreed. There's no real reason why any toy can't be made that pleases kids AND adult collectors. When a toy company brings out the "this line is targeted at kids" excuse, what they mean is "we want to make this product as cheap as possible and kids are stupid and will buy it anyway." That's insulting to everybody.
