Definitive DCU Infinite Heroes Checklist?
 

Does anyone know of a DCU IH checklist online that contains all the variants/chase figures, exclusives, box sets, and re-releases? Every one I come across seems to be missing some info. As hard as it is with finding all these figures in stores(I don't know if it's Mattel, scalpers, or a little of both), I still can't find a great checklist to aid me in my search.

The Wiki entry on the DC Universe toyline should have everything you need for that terrible Infinite Heroes toyline.

Thanks guys! Looking at pictures for the whole line shocks me that Kenner's Super Powers are actually better even though they came out over 20 years ago.

Infinite Heroes really is terrible.

I've posted before on this site as to how terrible I thought these figures were... until I bought one. Now I'm hooked. If you're an articulation or accessory junkie, these are not for you. Me, I like them because they remind me of those Kenner figures. I think they're well made and pretty sturdy, compared to my MU figures which feel like they're gonna break whenever I move their limbs. Honestly, I love both DCIH and MU lines, but for some reason DCIH just screams "fun!" to me. It must be the character selection and the fact that they look very cartoon-like, which I enjoy. I dunno. Definitely not for everyone though.

I would have to agree, infinite heroes has better play ability to kids.
for posibility MU is more collector based.

other than iceman I really like the new animated line. just got beast today and he is great.

I will say both lines have plusses and minuses. The packaging with character specific Frank Cho art and enclosed Fury files on the Marvel toys is great. DC's packaging has a hand "grabbing" that doesn't really fit the line(it seems to fit more in with Mattel's M.U.S.C.L.E. line from the 80's) and is easily confused with the JLU line packaging. They also don't really have consistant bios;only some packaging has them and they aren't really informative. On the other hand, Hasbro's toys look like brittle little pieces of plastic(unfortunately that's something that Mattel has said it's going to emulate). I don't really like the choices used for initial characters in either line. While Hasbro is using less obscure characters than Mattel(Adam Strange, Zoom, and Guy Gardner before Superman, Batman, Flash, or Hal?), I hate that X-Force Wolverine, Ronin, and Ultimate Cap are released before yellow & blue/brown & tan Wolverine, Rogers or Bucky Cap, and Hawkeye. Even though I usually like Mattel and DC more than Hasbro(their only decent line is the 25th Anniversary G.I. Joe) and Marvel, Hasbro seems to have definitely gained the upper hand in this size of toys(Mattel rules when it comes to 6" toys). Mattel has a lot to do in order for their lil' DC line not to die.

I think comparing the two lines is like apples to oranges. They've both got pros and cons and I don't think either company is dominating with their line. I'm not sure I can say Marvel is better once you factor in the price.

As far as scale in general is concerned, Hasbro's pretty much had the lock on 3.75" figures since they bought Kenner in 1991. Mattel's playing catch up at this point.

Of course, I really wouldn't compare the MU and DCIC lines myself, since it seems ridiculous for me to say "This Batman figure is so much better than that Wolverine figure." It just doesn't make sense to me.

This is why I hate Hasbro. They bought up Tonka and Kenner and either ignored the lines that the 2 companies had put out in the past or made them worse. I really wish someone else had the Star Wars license. The funny thing is that if you look at Hasbro's Wolverine & The X-Men line, Indiana Jones line, and some of the Wolverine:Origins line, they are pretty awful. It seems like G.I. Joe(at least the way they look in the package since I've never bought any) and this new Marvel Universe line(except for the Hulk's face and Dragonball Johnny Storm) are their only high points.

By the way, what was the size of Mattel's Secret Wars toys from the 80's? Were they 3.75?

Most of the Joes are pure win, though like every toy line, there are a few clunkers here and there.

They were 3.75" as well.

I thought they were more like 4.75 inches.

Man, I loved those as a little kid!! Even though they don't hold up as well as a lot of the Super Powers(Magneto and Doom didn't have capes and Cap had the same goofy shield that everyone else had), I was into these way more than the Distinguished Competition's toys initially. It also didn't hurt that the Secret Wars maxi-series was one of my first comics and I was dying to get a Wolverine toy after reading it. Boy, times have changed.

Well then you might be getting the Marvel U comic packs then huh?

I distinctly remember them being about the same height as my Star Wars figures. That could also be because it seemed almost all of them suffered from "bent-knee" syndrome.

Of course, I welcome anyone to provide a pic of Secret Wars figures that clearly shows scale one way or another. Even a pic next to a ruler would be fine. I'm going off fuzzy memories myself, so I could be wrong. It's been over 20 years since I last had a Secret Wars figure in hand.
