X-Men Origins Wolverine Deluxe Comic Series

joebiscruml 04-15-2009 12:40 PM

Blob seems to be more of a prop the a figure. All others look good.

Yeah, but I mean, how articulated can you make a Blob action figure really?

Runamuck 04-15-2009 01:14 PM

So, "two-packs" consist of one figure and something else that ISN'T the TWO in two-pack?

Should just call it Deluxe packs or something.

decepticon_mark 04-15-2009 01:24 PM

Are these going to be TRU exclusives also like the Wolvie/Sabretooth motorcycle set? Just wondering since they closed ours here in North Alabama and the nearest is over an hour away.

It doesn't say 2-pack on the packaging at all. That's simply this news article, but one of them DOES come with two figures.

Nope.

Not sure if its different but the in-package pics have no shading. Blob also looks really pale compared to the pics we have seen before.

Figs are good but most of the XOW figs are too pale.

I'll be buying the Deadpool for sure. The figure is a little TOO comic looking for me, but you never know. It'll probably grow on me. Irregardless I want that kickass mega launcher.

I'm also disappointed that the Blob is not articulated. Yay throwing mechanism! Seriously, lame.

ZeoVGM 04-15-2009 06:38 PM

And I again ask, how articulated could a Blob figure be and look good?

Well I would say to that look at The Thing, He is bulky but looks way better then The Blob does.

scarecrow 04-15-2009 06:49 PM

Do you really think that it doesn't need more articulation than what's likely just a spring loaded pair of arms? If it's in the Wolverine line, which by and large has pretty good articulation, then shouldn't the Blob also have some?

It could still look good. It's not like it needs to be uber articulated, and it's not like every action figure with more than 5 points of articulation doesn't look like an action figure in the first place.

Da_Last_2_Walk 04-15-2009 07:00 PM

All I know is.....the Blob sure is "muscular"

Agreed.

At least as articulated as the BAF HML wave 2 Blob. Yes this XOW version is smaller, but there is still a ton of plastic thus, a lot of room to cut articulation in. Hell brown costume Wolverine is a much, much smaller figure yet has a ton more articulation.

Yes. I was aware there was one pack with two figures. But judging from what everyone is saying about the Blob, he seems to be more of an accessory than an actual figure.

Uh oh... That 'Pool looks terrific. The belt, harness and sheathes all look better than the single-carded one. I guess they heard the fan whining and fixed it...

That being said, I'm not crazy about the huge launcher. If it was some kind of Deadpool-deco motorcycle and/or a huge arsenal of guns/swords/weapons/etc, I'd be all over this.
