Dc Universe CLassics Revisions? Help!
Anybody know what that is all about?? Are they re-releasing the waves??? I saw it on a toysite..Any input would be appreciated..
|
I've not heard of this, personally.
Typically with other toylines, like Transformers and Star Wars, revisions means they've changed the wave a little. Taken out toy X, and replaced it with toy y. That sort of thing. DCUC does include Allstar reissues, which sometimes get replaced with other allstar reissues, somewhere in a wave's run. Could this be it? |
^^ Exactly what I was thinking. Mind you, I haven't heard anything about these revissions either.

This is the first I've heard of this as well. It'd be great if it does happen though I missing a lot from waves # 1 - # 8

I did see a fresh case of Wave 12 at ToysRus the other day and thought it was odd, but I haven't heard anything.

DC Universe Classics Wave 12 Revision 1 Figures - Mattel - DC Comics - Action Figures at Entertainment Earth
Check out this link...This is what I am talking about... |
Oh, that's nothing. Most likely it's backstock they've been stuck with for a while, with "Revision 1" being a technical term. Later versions of this wave may have had different figure counts. One Mary Marvel and Two Spectres.
See my earlier explination. |
I believe "revision" usually refers to a different case assortment, as Crazy Jetty describes. The first case shipments in each wave will have a certain mix of figures, while the "revised" case will alter some of the quantities.
For example, Wave 18 of DCUC will have 8 figures per case, as follows: 2x Captain Boomerang 2x Bronze Tiger 1x Toyman 1x Samurai 1x Black Vulcan 1x El Dorado The first "Revision" case will be: 1x Captain Boomerang 1x Bronze Tiger 2x Toyman 2x Samurai 1x Black Vulcan 1x El Dorado With figure variants it gets slightly more complicated, but revision cases help generally limit the peg warmers you might see from store to store, and figs expected to have a limited audience can be replaced entirely, like swapping them out of a case for a more-likely-to-sell All-Stars fig. All these anti peg-warmer strategies go out the window, mind you, during unpopular waves, when cases are ordered/distributed poorly, or the 2x fig is something like Omac, The Spectre, or Power Girl. :) |
