Ah that makes my SDCC one seem less special now :( Cool for people that don't have that one though, of course

I would've preferred it done up in silver as Mark II though

BB206 04-28-2009 06:06 PM

Anyone know the release date?

DESTRO 04-28-2009 06:11 PM

Not 100% sure about the release date.

ZeoVGM 04-28-2009 10:25 PM

DESTRO, what is this even supposed to be? Hasbro rereleasing the SDCC Mugg to retail stores?

I'm thinking Toyarc might be getting a little scammed here. I mean look how unprofessional the picture is: it's a screen cap of a picture on a computer, as proven by the "click to zoom out" thing.

And if they did, I'm almost positive they would put the "Marvel Universe" logo on it, rather than the Iron Man one, since they added the "mark III" at the top.

I'm doubting you, just your source. Could you elaborate on this and the GI Joe one a little, especially this one?

ludovicotek 04-28-2009 10:47 PM

I wouldn't mind picking this up. Never had the chance to get it before.

I do kind of agree that it's pretty crappy that they would re-release this, if that's the case. Also, it does seem like an odd time to be releasing this information.

To anyone who has the original SDCC version, does it not say Mark III under the name? And is that indeed the same Iron Man logo? Just wondering cause of what ZeoVGM said. It would be pretty easy to Photoshop this.

MUGGLAB - 100% customized awesome

Out of all the Marvel Muggs, it was the only one to use a different logo (in this case, the Iron Man movie logo) rather than the Marvel Universe logo. Most likely, because it was an SDCC exclusive only and was a promotion for the movie.

In fact, none of the other Mugg lines did anything like that with any of their Muggs.

Which is why I think it would be very strange for them to release that to retail with the Iron Man logo on it.

DESTRO 04-29-2009 02:50 AM

These are not customs and they are production. There really is no Muggs X-file here, just a few early images.

ZeoVGM 04-29-2009 07:13 AM

Well like I said, these aren't official pictures and the Iron Man one is especially fishy, due to the rather strange fact that it's a screen cap from a computer. Which is why I'm wondering what kind of source it was from. Not a name, just what type of source they would be where you would know this is for real.

And again, what exactly is this? A retail release of the SDCC exclusive?

Fanatic 05-08-2009 12:25 PM

Clearly this is bogus information ! Shame on Toy Ark to post stuff like this with no hard evidence.

Right, because pictures of the actual product mean nothing. Shame on us
