Talk about toys related to Peyo's beloved classic characters...Or that live action thing with NPH.

Nobody will admit to owning or liking the Smurfs?

I myself have a touching story. When I was a happy & carefree child, I can recall watching the show on T.V.. I was given a smaller stuffed Smurf by my mother as a birthday present (the year she made me a very cool (for a little tyke) Smurf cake).

Along the way of growing up, my parents divorced, I got older, & my Smurf was lost. I don't know if I lost it, tossed him, or if it was purged when my (thankfully *Ex-*) Stepmother threw out my brother & I's toys after getting into trouble one day. (Yes, pretty much *EVERYTHING* got pitched that day, & we couldn't do anything for a month!)

However, when I visited my Mom after graduating Basic Training, she had a small surprise for me... She had visited a small second-hand store near her hometown in Tennessee called (I s*** you not!) "Needful Things"! The *EXACT* same Smurf, down to the "Happy Birthday" t-shirt he wore...

He happily resides on top of my wife's Care Bear-filled hutch, along with a MISB 50th Ann. Smurf we picked up at Toys"R"Us a few years ago (that sings the Smurf Theme when you squeeze his hand)...

Anyone else?

I'm personally hoping that Mega Bloks will be releasing the Smurfs as Minifigs, ala the Halo Minifigs. I'm curious as to how those would turn out.

I'm surprised AtomicSmurf hasn't posted in this thread yet lol
