First Image of Whiplash from Iron Man 2
 

It was confirmed a while ago that Mickey Rourke would indeed be playing Whiplash in Iron Man 2. Now we have our first official image of him in costume.

screenrant.com has posted an article explaining a little more about the the character along with the image. Looks pretty cool. Can't wait for this one.

Iron Man 2 will be released on May 7, 2010.

Either they'll be adding CG later, or this is some kind of prison scene when he first gets or uses the basic gear.

I would think that's exactly what it is. Some early scene where he is first using this gear. I bet he ends up wearing more of a suit later in the flick.

Then again though, Whiplash is kind of played off as an S&M spoof later on in comics.

He was briefly, and it does beat his ponytailed suit. But this has a prison orange jumpsuit that alludes to prison escape or recent escape.

Plus iirc he's going to have some red and black leathery suit over the harness eventually. It looks like some kind of race track in the background, but I'm not sure. The jumpsuit top is loose behind him and the harness and belt are holding the jumpsuit up for his legs. So this poses many questions for what will be in the film, and how awesome it'll be to see this character growth, mixed with flailing Stark around.
