YF-19 Bird Of Prey And Double Nuts New Pics

I honestly didn't think much of these when I first saw them, but they have grown on me, especially the Double Nuts. I think it was a good decision by Yamato to go with the dark blue trim instead of red, a simple change in color makes it look more different compared to Isamu's YF-19.

With that said, man these things are pricey! I'd love to see a VF-19A Ravens version eventually.

What are the changes being made to this figure? YF-19 is my favorite of all the Macross toy.

The joints are supposed to be tighter, and the arms and some other parts are made from a more durable plastic.

Sorry if I sound stupid, but what is the origin of these paint schemes? I don't recall them in the Anime.

They are influenced by the custom paint schemes from the Model Graphix magazine from several years ago. They are supposed to be prototype YF-19's from Project Supernova. Where as Isamu's Alpha 1 is either YF-19 no. 1 or 2, Bird of Prey and Double Nuts are no.'s 3 & 4.

OK, thanks.

So tempting....

I love the YF-19, but I can't drop that kind of dough on non-canon figures. I love my original version, it's fine to me.
