Earthworm jim!

Get ready for a blast from the past, it's everyone's favorite annelid Earthworm Jim! I loved this game and the characters even more so I'm hoping I did Jim justice here. His upper torso is a DCU Bizarro with LCBH Savage Dragon arms, waist, and legs. His hands came from a DCU Mongul for the 3-fingers look and his head/gun was from an original Earthworm Jim toy by Playmates. Aves Apoxie Sculpt was used to create the upper collar, gloves, repair the chest, and sculpt the exaggerated toes. I used strips of plastic to make the belt and bandoleer straps. His head is on a full double-ball joint and can be attached to a bendy worm-body for his suit to whip around just like he did in the game! Earthworm Jim was a long time coming and I hope I nailed his look.

Wow! Nailed it perfectly I would say!

It's amazingly awesome how you explained what composes the figure, not like I would be able to ever come close to making something this rad. But it is definitely inspiring!

Excellent work! I always love a good video game figure, especially a retro one. I look forward to hopefully seeing more awesome customs from you in the future.

it went for 355$ on eBay, I watched it till the end of the auction.

Damn, that thing is beautiful. Makes me want a EJ Classics line.

Thats what I was doing when I saw this. I was hunting down the few figures that were released, and this turned up on one of my eBay searchs. I was speechless.... Still am..

Geez, this custom is awesome. I wish this figure was something I could pick up in a store.

JinSaotome 05-12-2011 02:52 PM

I'd kill for a new EWJ line. I bet it will take a new video game tho, just like Duke Nukem. He's back on the shelf with a figure but only because of a video game!

Bionic Commando 05-22-2011 09:32 AM

This is so cool.EWJ was one of my favorite games back during the Genesis/Super NES era

derbyhat7 07-17-2011 10:29 PM

I loved that game. Was there any official Earthworm Jim figures released before?

Yeah there were several figures released in the mid 90's, though they were more based on the cartoon than the game. I've got pretty much all of them and think they're pretty good for the time.

First toy line where I got every figure I wanted!

Lord_Zarak 07-18-2011 04:40 AM

i hope in a figure like that.. i would buy it ....

Lord Chain 07-18-2011 08:57 PM

this is one of my favorites of jin's work.
