Nexodusrex Review : MU Cable
 

I got my Cable today. Paid a lil extra on ebay cause I'm a sucker and I found a good deal. Not to mention the fact that I bought it Saturday and got it on Monday, making it awesome, but onto the review.

Sculpt : Hasbro was very very good to us this time. Cable's Sculpt is very well done. I cant tell if its a reuse of any parts. the new twisty thighs is a newer thing. maybe Doc Samson but I cant tell. the head is Cable, pure and simple. the only downside I can tell is his cybernetic arm. Its a lil thin in my personal opinion, but I always pictured in my mind his metal arm being bigger than his normal arm.

Paint : the Paint is simple, which is actually a good thing. if you look at the cover of Cable #1(most recent series), you can match the colors pretty good. his arm has the same metal paint used for Colossus, with some purposfully dark scuffing that metal gets when seen in combat. His Hair is a nice blend of grey and white, giving him that aged hair look. awesome coloring

Accessories : This got me really excited for this figure. one of my biggest gripes with MU, compared to Hasbros other lines, is the lack of accessories. GIJoes pursuit of cobra line has tons of accessories, fitting everything in a neat lower price than MU. this always drove me nuts. Not to mention some of the crazier dumb accessories. X-Force Wolverine with a machine gun. really?

But anyway, Cable is LOADED with goodies. Firstly, the web gear. He has a Awesome belt strapped to his right thigh, giving him a good holster for his handgun. On his chest is a bandolier which actually has a holster on the back for his rifle. a peg that his gun fits on that most of us have not seen unless we opened him up. so he has 2 holsters, which is awesome. as for his chest piece, I love that you can take off Hope and put on the none hope chest piece. in my display baby hope is not there. fits really nicely with a big peg that holds it real tight.

Finally, the guns. cable has 2 awesome future guns. Hasbro did a real good job designing some awesome weaponry for cable. but my one gripe about the guns is the paint. they are a solid color. I know 90% of Hasbro weapons are just 1 color, but when you have somthing that looks gunmetal chrome, you want that battle damaged scuff. last but not least is the goodie we didnt really need, but we got it from hasbro anyway, and I love it. The Psimatar(SP). The weapon that killed Apocalypse for the first time. this is the first time the Psimatar has been made in plastic form(That I know of) and its nice to have. it joins the many awesome Marvel Artifacts that we have slowly gotten throughout the last couple years. If I had an armory gallery I'd put it next to Thanos's Infinity Gauntlet

all in all, Cable is a Fantastic figure, who outshines many of MU's original character attempts. He shows true potential that hasbro can bring to this line, and sits next to Modern Thor, Juggernaut, and Thanos as the current Pinacle of MU greatness.

How much was he on Ebay? Even if It was over 12 bucks, I think the figure is well worth it.

I paid 19 plus 4 dollars for shipping. decided to splurge since I started a new job this week and am now more financially secure. that and half the retail sites in my area are morons when it comes to MU.
