MTV interviews Chris Evans where he reveals that Captain America in the Avengers will be getting a new costume.

How radically different or not has yet to be revealed, but as you should remember back during the Cap filming they had also suggested that once he was in the present day he would be receiving an updated costume.

Okay, I'm curious what it'll look like, and now I can skip the movie costume in the movie line since all I'm after is an Avengers Movie team.

There have also been bits flying around that Iron Man will get a new armor too. Though how different from his movies it will be is anyone's guess. (Probably not much, just some minor tweaks.)

Not really surprised. It makes sense that he would go with a modern suit in modern times. And Tony is Tony, so he's never done tinkering with his own stuff.

And to be honest, while I am excited about the Avengers movie, I'm just focusing on this year with Thor, Cap, DOTM and GL (as well as HPATDH pt. 2).

Heh, "bits flying around" + "Iron Man" = unintentional humor. :D

Oh, I'm definitely focused on seeing the movies, but I'm grateful they released this tidbit so I can hold off on the Movie cap until the avengers line. I want the modern day team that'll be in the movies, and having tons of different figures for each variation becomes a display nightmare... Well, except for ironman, then each variation becomes needed for his hall of armor lol.

I'd love to see a straight 616 version of the costume for the Avengers. But I know they will want to approach it with the Ultimate costume. I still like it, hope it still looks cool with the helmet-mask.

the differences between iron mans movie costumes 3 through 5 werent all that much. 6 looked cooler with the silver and triangle arc reactor.

i think they will go with the more modern ultimate look for cap. the main difference will probably be that its tighter and more stream lined maybe. as the current WWII one is a little baggier so it has that old school soldier uniform feel to it.

never the less I have the movie cap in my collection with movie thor and iron man, it will keep me satisfied until next year when the avengers figs roll out.
