FATAL ATTRACTIONS: Disappoint Or No?

Remember Fatal Attractions, when Magneto nearly killed Wolverine's ass, by ripping out all of his adamantium? Seeing this in the 90's...HOLY CRAP EPIC..but as a Wolvy fan I was PISSED!

So as time went on, Erik Larsen signed on for a kick ass run on Wolverine and the canuck destroyer beat the shit out of Sabretooth WITH HIS FREAKING BONE CLAWS. AGAIN., got his adamantium back, became Death, then turned good again. Kick ass storyline and I think Larsen deserves moar credit for making things right with Wolverine!

This was before Wolverine ended up in damn near every fucking Marvel title imaginable and was largely just in his own book with appearances every now and then in the X books.

Looking back, I think it was cool to see Wolverine deal with the loss of adamantium. LOVE the retcon of bone claws. That was cool, because we shared the shock of that discovery WITH the character. Wolverine was like "where the fuck did these come from? Must've had them before the WEAPON X PROJECT"(sensationalized account of what he actually said).

Magneto went beast mode on dat ass and nearly killed the guy. Epic. However as cool as that was, I just think it took too damn long for Wolvy to get the adamantium back. WHAT A FREAKING TEASE in Wolverine #100!

So conclusion. Larsen rules. Magneto rules. Wolverine is bad ass...but was more cool when we saw less of him. Remember when he left after the adamantium was sucked out? Remember how many people wanted him to come back to the X Men? That's when he was more important. Now he is the Spiderman of the X Men.
