New MU Comic 2-packs
 

MISSOURI, IOWA, ILLINOIS TRU STORES ALL CONFIRMED TO BE OUT OF STOCK IF THEY RECEIVED THE COMIC PACKS! (read my second post under this post for more info/ending to this posts story. :P)

So I've been looking like crazy for these. I just got word there were some at a toys r us today, so I immediately stepped out of work and called. And called.. and called. About 15 minutes later I went out and tried again. Several attempts later someone finally picked up. They went and checked and found them both! I was ecstatic! They would hold until the end of the day! Yes! :D
But then....
"Wait sir, we have a discrepancy here.." Comes back from hold "Sorry sir, someone here in store seen me carrying them up front and wants them."
I was so depressed. The fact that I called and called and lost them literally by 3 seconds of walk time bugs me to no end.

SO, to keep in theme with the forums.. if anyone spots them in retail anywhere other than tru, because I'm confirming they are there now, please post! He may be holding the samurai/patch pack as the guy may not have wanted both of them though, so wish me luck!

Sometimes its just one store y'know. For me today it was a single target store by my work.. I got an apocalypse totally at random it was awesome. It inspired me to go toy hunting even though I should be sleeping (nights) and NO OTHER STORE HAD THEM! Not even a sign of them, just the same crap that was there when i hunted wed.

Was a total bummer but atleast now I kind of know my "go to spot" for MU.

Where did you find them or almost find them? Im trying to figure out if they've reached NY yet.

So the story ended with a happiER ending than previously announced. The store employee felt terrible about the situation and asked the guy if he would leave one of the two and the guy left silver samurai/patch of course. So I get to pick that up tonight! But THEN, he checked their tru database and made phone calls to all tru's that got them in. This included MISSOURI, ILLINOIS, AND IOWA fyi. Only ONE pack existed and it was in Iowa. I am traveling to Iowa tonight (not for the comic pack, but for mother's day weekend with the in-laws :P) and will be picking it up along the way (about half hour out of the way, but whatever!) as it is on hold.
So this ending isn't ideal, but still happier than I left it a couple hours ago. :D

They should have reached NY by now. I live in NJ and found them this past sunday evening at Wal-Mart in Secaucus. Doing some midnight shopping and passed the toy isle as they were stocking them. I almost backflipped out of the store in happiness.

I like how we as collectors will travel on the road and suddenly see a target or walmart and decide to make a pit stop for a quick run through the toy isle. Ahh the thrill of the hunt.

I'm on my way to Iowa and planning on doing that several times.. well.. as many as my wife allows.. :D

haha, im lucky to have an awesome wife who is always cool with us going anywhere and me always saying "hey can we stop at _____ real quick?".

anytime I mention walmart or zellers winners or my local comic shops, gf knows I'm there to check out the toy isle and then bail, haha. Gotta love understanding women.

Round Rock TRU had the Cyclops/Marvel Gir, Wolverine/Sabretoothl and Deadpool/Taskmaster packs... @ $17.99! Right alongside the Secret Wars and Spidey/Sentinel for $14.99. I'm not understanding why the price hike where the two pack is more expensive than 2 seperate figures. I'm gonna wait until Target or someone else has them and see if pricing is the same. Also, why is Green Lantern 4 inch (with articulation from the 70's) the same price as GI JOE (with tons of articulation and scads of extra weapons/supplies)?? Is Mattel dumb, mean or is there something I'm not clued in on?

The mills mall express store is what burned me. And the price IS THAT HIGH. I picked up the wolverine/silver samurai pack for 18 bucks.. I was dumbfounded at the price as that's what it is on bbts. Granted you pay shipping there, but still..

Here in new york my comic shop sell them for $22.99 so $18 isnt bad.

Im looking forward to getting that at Target for say 14.99. 18-22.99 is ridiculous, how high will the prices on these toys go?
TRU has now raised all prices by me on Marvel Universe stuff and the prices closer to the city are crazy!

Yeah, of course the comic shop marks them up, thats expected. Retail is now 18 though, that is whats ridiculous.

Anyone in South Carolina found these yet? I myself live in the Spartanburg County/ Greenville County area and we have yet to get any in stock. We haven't even got wave 13 yet. I'm dying for a Deadpool Taskmaster pack or a Cable. So if anyone lives in the South Carolina area please alert me if you find a store which has the two packs in stock I have been going to every Walmart and Target on a nearly daily basis. I'll pick a Walmart and a Target to go to each day and still no luck. :(

Dude, just got home from every target walmart nd tru in greenville. I live in atlanta, my girlfriend and parents here. Nothing. Nada. No new mu's no 2-packs, no giant sized xmen, no caps. So those are my adventures in the upstate this afternoon and sadly no success. Please keep me posted if you find anything. Ill send my old lady after them.

My friend just texted me, he's in outside of Atlanta, not sure where exactly, but he snagged cyclops in a target today. Can find out exactly where if you'd like.

I just found Deadpool/taskmaster, Wolverine/SS, Cyclops/Marvel Girl and Wolverine/Sabretooth today at my local walmart in Houston

Yeah, They must have just got a new shipment in bc i also got to pick up the Frost Giant and Goliath giant pack. Just wished they had Wave 13 of the single card series already :/
