It'd be sick if they actually made removable shades that when taken off his eyes lit up and burned your house down until you put the shades back on, lol, buta removeable visor and optical beam should be made! and red led eyes would be a nice touch.

Hey All,
While I understand everyone's concern about trolls and B.S. posts on Wiki, I am the person that posted the variant information about Cyclops. I bought him at my local Raleigh Target (off Glenwood and Lynn road by Raleigh Grand) on May 9 and looked at the packaging to make sure that someone didn't buy a regular figure and then put the "variant" in. I didn't see any foul play so I took a picture and texted it to a friend. We both have been looking online to see if this was a real deal or not. I have included the image below.

I will continue to monitor to see if this is for real, but I am the one who added the post to wiki and I hope he is real.

FYI, I am not trying to sell or trade the figure, he is already in my comic book room, I just want to know if I need to be on the look out for my friend.

also, it isn't the X-Men Forever version. It looks to be the "same" version as in the Dark Phoenix two pack, which made me think someone bought the Jim Lee costume and resealed the two pack figure in the package instead.

Was it the only one? To me, it looks like warehouse messed up and a wrong cyclops snuck into new packaging. So to me, that is much better and cooler than a variant =3

It has been the only one I have seen. I only found the Jim Lee version this morning at the Walmart by Triangle Town Center, along with Hopeless Cable and Apocolypse, so I am now done until the next wave comes out (unless I find a Hopefilled Cable)(and need non variant Winter Solder, which I may buy online).
Troy has been looking for the "variant" Cyclops but hasn't found one either. He also suggested that maybe it was wrong packaging, but I don't know about that.

No, long hair IS the variant

But there is no variant in the captain america series. The one in that series has long hair, but not to be confused with the MU short hair/long hair regular/variant issue. :P

Well, if it's a repack, it's a pretty dang good job as I could not see any tears and the tape at the bottom of the back looks to be untouched.

I am not a newbie by any means, and the figure was located towards the back of the rack, not one that an employee would place up front as a return, but then again, as I have already stated, I am not trying to resell, or trade or anything and a small group of people (well, not anymore) even knew I had it.

Quinten182, yeah, nonvariant WS from MU..... I know they are out there but the 5 targets near my house and 3 walmarts don't have them. Forgot I didn't have the non variant and haven't given up on finding "him" but may just be easier to buy online then spend the $ on gas going to these stores 5 times a week....

I have seen some insanely good repacks that make you wonder why so much effort was put into it. Still a repack.
