Transformers Jetfire stand-in
 

Since the mold used for Jetfire belongs to Bandai and can't be reissued by Takara/Tomy, short of buying the original MIB, I was wondering which Macross series currently and/or recently in production is what the Jetfire toy was based off? I'm looking for something that is the same mold as 1985 Jetfire (or perhaps a better articulated version ala the reissue of Muygen Calibur recently), comes with the same accessories, similar scale, diecast, and, if possible, has as similar to a color scheme as the original Transformers toy as can be expected. In a nutshell, I'm looking to have something come as close to being a Jetfire reissue as possible. I can always repro label the Macross toy.

here ya go man. i can't recommend these things ENOUGH. they are amazing. to get jetfire style armor you'll want to buy the "super parts" package as well. but, you will have to paint the super parts red.
