Captain America Deluxes-Worth It?

Are they worth it? Found out paratrooper cap has better proportions than heavy artillery cap. Main draw for me is better paint apps like with riot cap, and the strap shields!

omega145 06-20-2011 07:40 PM

The parachute cap is my least favorite out of all the cap line figures that i've bought. The only figure that looks possibly worth it is the hydra figure but he was 15 bucks when I saw him at TRU.

AndyCR75 06-20-2011 07:51 PM

It depends if you are a completionist or just looking for figures you enjoy...so "is it worth it?" is probably a relative question.

MasterSock 06-20-2011 08:03 PM

I'll wait for them to go on clearance!

MasterSock 06-20-2011 08:03 PM

But i think the hydra soldier are totally worth it I'm going to grab 5 more of them when i get the chance!

Theta Rock 06-20-2011 08:21 PM

Like you, I liked the pants app for the deluxe figure. I only purchased the one with the jet pack. Not sure if I wanted the parachute Cap.

I have yet to see any Hydra Deluxe figures. Curious where you guys are finding them. I went to 4 different cities this past weekend and didn't see a single one.

MasterSock 06-20-2011 08:26 PM

My buddy grab one for me at Yonkers New York toy r us

behindthemask 06-20-2011 10:38 PM

I would say the hydra is a definate yes for me and most collectors, the parchute and jetpack caps are an iffy for me, if they're on for a good price aka clearance I'd grab em, but I'm more worried about getting the 1st and 2nd wave figures, before the word deluxue comes to mind, When it came to Ironman and Thor deluxe stuff most was a fail or a slightly different repaint of something that already existed, but most was a fail, the frost giant being the exception from Thor, and mainly the suits for IM are all cool but fuck the stupid oversized rockets and robotic add on shit, that just ruins it.. yet justifies the extra $5.

Colder Soldier 06-20-2011 11:31 PM

They're really not worth $15. Barely worth $12. The first week was great when Target had them for $10.

Parachute Cap is great just for that awesome parachute. One day soon I'll attempt a glove transplant between the Chute Cap and HA Cap so I can have a fully articulated Cap.

Riot Cap is cool for USAgents original shield only.

The first jetpack Cap looks totally grabbage but the 2nd one has a beautiful blue costume. I wish HA Cap was the exact same shade.

The Hydra Troop is OK I guess. No wrist articulation on the guy. I only see myself getting one more.

Optimus Vader 06-21-2011 06:11 AM

I think they look dumb, but they're $10 at Target (mine anyway).

luketheduke04 06-21-2011 09:48 AM

almost got the hydra troop, but just not worth the 14.99 price tag, my boys love the cap with the parachute,
