SDCC2009 Wrap Up - Marvel Booth

We've just received new pics from the Hasbro Marvel Booth/Dio. you can check'em out here:

Hasbro Marvel Images - Sunday Wrap Up - ToyArk.com

That Galactus is effin' SWEET!

Runamuck 07-26-2009 06:05 PM

I. Want. That. Galactus.

How do I get it?

The same Spider Man figure in different costumes is unnecessary.

Shin-Gouki 07-26-2009 06:25 PM

That's the problem with a line that focuses on one central hero. You get crap like this:

This:

and This:

It's MOTU all over again.

C.I.A.D. 07-26-2009 06:33 PM

Hey! I like that Spidey with the Sword and whip! I also like Aqua Spidey so HA! :p

lol :D

decepticon_mark 07-26-2009 06:44 PM

The Galactus is a must. :D I thought he was going to be part of the Gigantic battle sets but he's so much bigger than them but I really hate to see how bad he's going to devour my wallet.

trebleshot 07-26-2009 07:28 PM

Holy Hell, that Galactus is awesome! Even better than the BAF version. I may get this one and put my ML version on Ebay.

Same here! I'm actually really digging the Samurai Spider. The other Spider outfits in general are iffy though.

I agree some of the variations of Spidey are pretty decent and that's why I'm glad he and Iron Man are getting their own lines so the designers can go wild with all their ideas and let the Universe line deal with more characters than just retooled ones every wave.

Aheld92 07-26-2009 07:32 PM

Still no top seven? this is driving me nuts all we saw was Cage(though he does kick @$$), #6 i'm told.

shaywarren18 07-26-2009 08:04 PM

ya wheres the top 7

The bigger problem is the loss of ankle articulation, double jointed knees, and bicep swivel. Add to that, some of the new 3-3/4" Spiderman figures don't even have full articulation.

Runamuck 07-26-2009 08:33 PM

So, what is Galactus coming out in? Part of a lager set? All by himself? Which line or subline?

QFT!
I do like those Spidey sculpts more than the MU version.

Foolproof 07-26-2009 09:25 PM

I may have to snag that Galactus.

Also, I sorta dig Spidey as Richter Belmont:

scarecrow 07-26-2009 09:35 PM

So the Spidey line is going to have some Batman-Esque bullcrap. It's allowing for a lot of cool figures on the side, and it's not going to be the main line anyway. If kids see these all together with the MU stuff, they'll be more interested in MU as well as Spidey, driving sales.

Although the lack of articulation IS a problem.

Sentinel Prime 07-26-2009 09:41 PM

A couple of those 3 3/4" non-gimmick Spideys look much, much better than the current MU version we have, two in particular look great in those pics.

Snowflakian 07-26-2009 11:58 PM

Some of the spidey armor looks ripe for kitbashes. Otherwise without black cat, I have no interest here besides maybe venom if I can't find anyone else on the shelf from MU I want. Maybe Castlevania Spidey just for the fun of him.

That Galactus is epic though. I hope the sentinel is that badass.

Alexbel 07-29-2009 05:49 AM

Its to bad i have an old Galactus or else i would get that one
his eyes light up red
he is shorter
and less detailed

MegaPrime33 07-29-2009 07:26 AM

That galactus might be a bit too big for me. I'll stick with my Toy Biz one from the Silver Surfer line.

Masterprime87 08-10-2009 01:33 PM

Oh that Galactus is a must have for me wonder what the price will end up being?

bigkid24 08-11-2009 08:57 AM

I'm not a fan of the character but when I saw that display I recognized the awesomeness of the figure. And now I want one. D'oh!

SE JN 08-16-2009 01:43 AM

Still waiting on the top 7 figures, as well as an idea of when they wil be released.

G1Wheeljack 08-16-2009 08:15 PM

Doc Ock's caught my eye, been waiting for a 3 3/4" of him for a while.
