Marvel Universe 2011 Series Emblem Change?
 

People must have noticed, but I haven't seen any posts on it and was wondering if anyone could clear this question for me. Each series has a different emblem on the package. Series 1 was the sheild logo with a yellow background, Series 2 was the Hammer.. Now Series 3 started with a platinum sheild emblem, and turned to a gold one. Which one are they going to continue with? I find it quite a mistake for hasbro to come out with 6 figures then decide to change it up. Anyone can shed some light?

Maybe it could possibly denote a variant? Such as cable w/ hope

Unless you have others that are not variants with gold emblems

I think it has something to do with the timeline they are in, in the comic world

It looks like the Dr. Strange, Skaar, etc. wave will also have the gold background. Weird.

I think they're going to continue with the gold because Doctor Strange and all that, as neatogecko mentioned, have it too. Who knows why Hasbro suddenly changed it, perhaps they just suddenly thought "Hey, you know what looks cool? GOLD!" All in all, I personally don't care which emblem they use. But hey, that's just me.

Yeah, it usually has to do with what's going on but the first year was pretty late since HAMMER was going strong in all of 09 but i guess they didn't wanna spoil everything just yet since Siege was done after 2 of the 2010 waves already hit. I will say though that it kinda doesn't make much sense to have the Shield logo when it's no longer in existence.

I don't know, but I save those things for some reason.

I personally thought it had to do with Steve being on the back, with HAMMER it was about Norman, and then it was just a normal SHIELD thing, now I'm wondering if the gold has to deal with any of the Heroic Age stuff. But that's just my opinion.

The emblem could be a purple colored gay donkey, as long as it comes with a kickass figure who cares lol! I try not to be a MOC collector unless it's limited,rare/SDCC type stuff then it gets left moc or atleast package non destroyed.
