Marvel Universe 2 pack Target Variants??

Marvel Universe Target WOLVERINE vs HAND NINJA Variants | eBay

or figure swaps? im leaning more towards returned figure swaps. What do you guys think?

quipp209 07-02-2011 05:57 AM

Figure swaps.. I use to work for Target n the people who work in guest service are stupid lol so people slip stuff by them all the time

Saint Phe 07-02-2011 06:14 AM

ABSOLUTELY figure swaps.

omega145 07-02-2011 07:38 AM

Yep figure swaps. This is just like the "star wars variant" for the giant packs that was going around on eBay.

Colder Soldier 07-02-2011 08:34 AM

Yep. Re-packs.

It's just weird the re-packer wanted multiple TG 2pk Wolverines, and not the blk Hands. I wish someone would trade me an XMO Logan for a TG 2pk Wolvie.

Any takers?

behindthemask 07-02-2011 09:51 AM

I agree, yah definatley seems to be repacked.

I dunno, look at it from their point of view. They can't be expected to know every item in the store, let alone that the card art for this toy line usually accurately reflects the costume inside. There's a lot of toys that don't, including a few Marvel Universe figures. (The variant costumes in single carded figures, for instance)

Plus, regardless of what's in the package, it's still a toy that a kid might want and from the correct (sort of) figure line, and they can see what they're getting. So it's not like it will be thrown out and be listed as shrink. Which is why you'll see them go right back on the shelf even if you point it out to them. They can either take a loss on the item, or realize that it can still be sold to a kid that really wants that figure.

It's far easier to accept the swapped out figure back than for the customer to potentially make a scene, getting the manager involved, who might agree that it's easier to just take it back. It's easier to take a loss on a small amount than to deal with the hassle and a customer who might never come back. (You have no way of knowing how much this customer is spending on legitimate purchases)

But yeah, putting it on Ebay as a variant is just dumb.

Thats freakin brutal!!!

Jason Abbadon 07-02-2011 08:05 PM

It's definitely a swap but I dont blame target employees- they're super cool about returns nad some ass is taking advantage of their policy of good customer service.

behindthemask 07-02-2011 08:50 PM

It's brutal to the collector who knows the difference and can spot the mistaken and has now missed out on a wanted item to be added to their collection. To the kid who's 6 and doesn't know the difference the kids happy, the store and hasbro aren't out $$ and 3 days later a new shipment arrives.
