Top 5 Rogue's I want to see in MU

Rogue has a lot of outfits throughout history, and when Hasbro finally makes a decent skulpt of her hair, we'll get her. With Rogue its only a matter of time, and fan demand is up

So the following are my top 5 renditions of rogue I'd like to see, with the top 3 being the "Must Be Made" out of the 5

5 : Ms Marvel
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/co...igcostume6.jpg
Underlining the classic issues with her powers, this figure would be the easiest to produce. During a period of time when Rogue had to deal with the personality of an aggressive Carol Danvers, Carol once took full control and sported the Ms Marvel look. I love this look cause its a great "Moment" Figure and would rock in a comic pack.

4 : X-Men Tank
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/spotlight/rogue22.jpg
This is another Comic Pack worthy outfit. Rogue in full on Tank Mode. She has shown time and again that mixing and matching sometimes works, and she was able to go toe to toe with Nimrod

3 : Jim Lee/Decimation
http://www.uncannyxmen.net/images/co...igcostume8.jpg
Heres the Controversy. I like this look alot, and its iconic for being her main look in the 90s, in the first animated series, and the capcom games. Its the look most people associate with Rogue, and since we already have Jim Lee Jean Grey, Cyclops, and you can count Wolverine and Archangel due to the time line, she would fit with that bunch. But this version is not my favorite version of her, and the jacket underlines the clunkiness of 90s design, as it was customary to give many females a jacket.

2 : X-Men Legacy
http://images3.wikia.nocookie.net/__...Earth-616).jpg
I prefer my Rogue in green, and this is a great look. Her current look underlines her finally ataining control of her powers thanks to Charles Xavier. He did what he promised her all those years ago. Now in control, she can look forward to learning more about life, love, and the touch of another

1 : Messiah CompleX
http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__...Earth-616).png
This is the Rogue I want above all. I loved this look when she took comand of her own x-men team before Messiah Complex. its her classic First Appearance look, but it just looks great in modern times with the cape. This is my favorite rogue, and Rogue should always be wearing all green.

Give me number 1 to. It looks even better in the X-men Anime.
btw, Rogue and Colossus just make a cameo in the Final Episode. But they may be in Season 2.
The last scene is of Magneto's Broken Plastic Prison, and the words. The Battle of the X-Men will continue!

Rogue is over rated...but under used. :P

Colder Soldier 07-08-2011 12:59 PM

I just need #3 (my personal #1) and then #1.

I've never seen the #4 "costume" ever until now. I guess some issue had her rub up on both Kurt and Piotr for their powers?

omega145 07-08-2011 01:05 PM

Im only famliar with #3 and would pick that up in a heartbeat if it was produced. I dont care for any others.

yeah. the x-men and Juggernaut were being beaten down by Nimrod, so Rogue used the combined powers of Nightcrawler and Colossus and Shadowcat to beat down Nimrod. This was during the days when Storm was powerless and before the Trial of Magneto.

Personally, the X-Treme X-Men costume was my favorite (And I was never able to find her ML style figure in that costume), not counting the X-Men Evolution design. I like her better as a dark and gothy mudrat, than a "Suhthuhn Belle."

But yeah, I kinda agree that I feel Rogue is a bit overrated. I mean no offence to Rogue fans, though. But I feel Marvel's been a bit rediculous with her since about the mid ninties. Thus, I tend to prefer her in the surrounding fiction more than the main comics. Evolution, Movies, and Wolverine and the X-Men. The closer she gets to her origins, the better I enjoy her. And the further away from Ms Marvel she is, the more I enjoy her.

Jim Lee style all the way, grew up watching/reading this style of x-men and it's 60% of the reason why I still collect/focus on Marvel stuff because it's Badass. I wish they'd do a Jim Lee style box set, with Cyclops, Gambit, Rogue, Jubilie, NightCrawler, Angel, Wolverine,Beast, Professor x, colossus, Jean Grey. magneto, mr sinister, omega red, etc... Giant 12-20 figure box set, or make it 2 waves lol. #3 gets my vote

A boxset like that would be amazing, and amazingly pricey haha

Captain Nash 07-08-2011 04:26 PM

If there was only going to be one Rogue released, then definitely the Jim Lee version, however I'd say give us the version in X-Men (not yet Legacy) where Carey took over, right before Messiah Complex, as well.

First appearance Rogue would also rock even though that's not my favorite. I'd buy any Rogue figure though, even the fugly one she had during the late-80's (Australian Outback/Inferno design.)

You realize her first appearance was in an Avengers Annual having just days before absorbed Ms. Marvel's powers, right? Ms. Marvel IS Rogue's origins. Without that aspect of her history, she would have just been a random pointless addition to the Brotherhood.

I totally expected the "exclusive 6 figure set" they hinted at last year at SDCC to be the X-men Blue Team, given that they already had a Wolverine and Gambit. Psylocke would have been a very simple repaint, and mowhawk Storm is easily turned into Rogue. (She even has the vest, which could become Rogue's jacket) And at the time, Jim Lee Cyclops and Beast were high on the rumor lists. But in the end, it turned out to be the Giant Size X-men set.

Aheld92 07-08-2011 05:27 PM

I hope they do Messiah Complex Rogue, then all they'd have to do is remove the cape and give her a new head and you'd have FA Rogue. X-treme X-men Rogue would be awesome too. so would Legacy

Maybe I should clarify. I mean her original powers, without the perminant Superman syndrome.

If only- they've made the entite X-Men Legends title revolve around her!
She's got no personality- everything is about the men trying to get into her pants.

thechris 07-08-2011 07:55 PM

5 is pointless. If they came out with any other Rogue figure, you could rip the hair off and plop it on the Ms. Marvel figure. :p

Snowflakian 07-08-2011 08:26 PM

Number 1 is all I want. The others they can skip altogether or use for comic pack/3-6 pack figure filler.

Symbiote 07-08-2011 09:31 PM

The jim lee style is classic. A 90s jim lee box set would be so awesome minus beast cause he was being a bitch. I'm really hoping that sdcc has some good announcements.

X-men second coming has a scene where she absorbs multiple x men powers. I thought this would be an awesome custom. So I'm working on it.

I Love that Design i forgot about it cause she only wore it for like one story arc, if I had a choice i would go with that one.

topnotch97 07-11-2011 01:16 AM

i prefer the Savage Land look of Rogue :D
