New masterworks Fin Fang Foom

Hercules, Beta Ray Bill, Nova and Kraven are the ones i will be most looking forward from this list.

Hopefully we will see pictures of Nova and Herc soon. I wonder if they will be making Hercules in his classic skirt thing or the latest green suit???

nova looks awesome. not happy with that hercules at all. im a massive fan of herc and they should defo make him in his green and gold skirt, not the old one with the green H thing on his chest.

his most successful run is in the incredible hercules books. i hope theychange it ans make that one, or even his most recent look would make more sense.

I would trade half of my collection for that Kang figure right now. And 2012 Wave 1 looks like just about the most solid wave yet.

I see ten total "must haves" and the rest are either maybes or "not getting my money".

Three "must haves" in eas=ch wave is excellent- I dont think I'll ever need another Spider-Man anything, frankly.

Still- Beta Ray Bill, Nova and Kang! for those, I'd buy the rest of the figures just to keep the line going!

And this is in addition to the dozen or so incredible "must haves" for this year!

Although Absorbing Man had the same release date as Patriot, so the wave 5 and wave 6 might be different than we thought. Too bad the Magneto is Ultimate and not a new classic one. :(

Bleh, I already have 3 different Colossus figures. The Astonishing X-Men suit and the 2 variants from the Giant-Size X-Men box set. Couldn't they at least have given us a "powered down" Colossus? Heck, even using a modified Wrecking Crew body... They're already milking his buck with Sinister. Toss us a bone.

Why no Anti-Venom yet? I was certain that with the release of the different Venom toys from last year's Spider-Man collection, there would be Anti-Venom this year... grrrrr....

A variant on Mags would be so easy. A simple red and purple repaint and you've got a SICK House of M Mags. I really hope they end up doing this, but either way I'm getting him.

Mr. Sinister's original origin was to have been a scientist that worked with Xavier waaay back in the young days and discovered how to graft the X Gene onto human DNA- and procedded to do so with every awesome mutant power he could get his hands on.
The whole Marauders wiping out the Morlocks was supposed to be eliminating them while collecting samples of the victims.

Sorta like that bad guy from the Heroes TV series.

So, Sinister looks like "Colusssus in drag" because he was useing a copy of Peter's powers when he confronted the X-Men in Inferno (along with telepathy, telekinesis and a score of other powers).

He would've been like an evil Mimic and mutants would have become a resource for humans to harvest, and there was going t be a Magneto connection (explaining why Vertigo was on the Marauders). I think it was going to be magneto trying to mutate the human population but it never happened.

Some of this coolness was kept and some discarded after Claremont never followed up on the character (big suprise!) and later writers went in another direction.
All the Marauders have been killed and cloned in established contunity- including Sabertooth (in Inferno).

Now it's been revealed that Sinister is Gambit's father (explaining Gambit's beady eyes) and gambit recruited the Marauders, not kowing what they would do in thte Morlock tunnels.

But he still looks like Colusssus in drag.

I want everything on Torpedo's list except Fin fang foom- he's the cheesy red 60's version with shorts.
You just dont put shorts on a freakin' dragon, man.

Torpedo, you gotta get the Astral Dr. Strange- it's really a great fig! Much more awesome than the pics can show in fact.
Ragnar hooked me up with one and sculptwise, he's the very best MU figure EVER. Beating even Cable. He's got rocker ankles too!

Yeah, I realized later that a red and purple repaint would look very nice.

I'm going to have problems in 2012. I'm not a completist but the only figures I can see myself skipping are

From the pics all the revisions of previously released figures are improvements, especially Punisher, Daredevil and Bullseye! And then there's the Future Foundation box-set as well.

LOL @Jason he does look like him in drag but u guys should hit cooltoyreview.com since each of the pictures focus on each individual figure so that way you know what is the buck that they'll have. I do also agree that the shorts are a bit much because he doesn't have a little dragon in there to hide lmao!
