DCU Young Justice 4" Wave 1 Pics

Here is wave 1 of 2011 single carded images with the walmart exclusive variants.

The figures come with "Collect and Connect" pieces to build the Hall of Justice. The Variant Figures not only come with variant accessories but also a poster and stuff instead of the "C&C" pieces.

omega145 07-29-2011 03:06 AM

Trash, I saw these before even the comic con at my local target and another terrible line of DC toys.

redx24 07-29-2011 07:07 AM

have to see in hand but these look meh to me
have that Infinite heroes/green lantrine look.

xhavoc86 07-29-2011 07:37 AM

I will be getting these as soon as I find them... I keep going to target, walmart, toysrus and nothing, NOTHINGGGGGG...

Do Boy 07-29-2011 10:57 AM

Wayyyy over priced for a toy with very little articulation

Xsoldier 07-29-2011 11:05 AM

yeah, they are 9.96 at wal-mart MU is actually cheaper than something in the scale now. lol. I wonder how good the hall of justice will be though.

I checked my Walmart (both of them) today and still nothing, but anyways if you look at the SDCC pictures of the Young Justice Toyline, they have a picture of the fully assembled hall of justice.

I do have a question though, is the pieces random or do each character have a specific piece of the hall, do you know?

LXL_Guy 07-29-2011 02:48 PM

Instead just pick up the 6'' figs. I've only picked up Robin so far but it's a nice figure for my collection.

Xsoldier 07-29-2011 02:49 PM

specific pieces...... I'f your thinking avengers mansion like I am...i understand where you are going with this. I'll post picures of the back of these when I get home tonight.

I meant like do they come with random pieces of the display or does each figure come with the same display piece each time. Does that make sense? I'm confused myself lol

Xsoldier 07-29-2011 03:13 PM

each figure comes with a different piece. When I put the pictures up, you'll see. It comes with one ground piece and one wall piece.

mrmr 07-29-2011 05:49 PM

Mattel really has no clue about doing modern 3.25 inch figures.

As nice as the sculpting looks this is getting ridiculous. These are even less poseable than the Green Lantern figures. Somehow.

Autobot_Goldbug 07-29-2011 08:32 PM

CORRECTION!!! 4.25 inches ;)

iLegends73 07-30-2011 12:12 AM

saw em in person..these are aimed @ kids. but the 6inch line they have comin out is what im waiting on

omega145 07-30-2011 02:23 AM

I'm curious to know why anyone would buy these at 10 bucks a piece?

Totally agree- I saw them at target this week and was shocked at just how sucktastic they are- $10 for a crappy littlr fig with the articulation of an 80's Star Wars figure in a big goody box with a goofy "Hall of Justice" part.

I cant understand the thinking- the DCU 3" series tanked bigtime and they looked better than this! (well, sorta better anyway- Deathstroke was laughably lame with no weapons).
Worst of all, it's taking up a lot of aisle space which could be used for something better.

I also saw the $15 larger figures in this line- again with the giant box for one figure (I saw Robin).
At least the big batman Classics figures look good (though again very little articulation).

xhavoc86 07-30-2011 06:11 PM

10 bucks is a bit steep for these, but I really like these types of figures, especially since they always include obscure characters in the line too...just preference I guess.

I'll definitely look for the 6 inch line too, but so far there's only four that I know of (Robin/Artemis/Red Arrow/Aqualad) and only two that I really care about....whereas this line has way more characters (Black Canary, Cheshire, Captain Atom, Aquaman, Batman, Superboy, Sportsmaster, etc) Same thing with the JLU line.

quinten182 08-01-2011 06:16 AM

I'm not a DC collector at all, but upon stumbling upon my MU wave in Target yesterday I seen a huge amount of these and noticed they were new. The "diorama" style artemis and robin were cool, as well as the arkham city batman packs, but I agree these smaller ones were just.. ok.

pud333 08-01-2011 10:21 AM

Sigh. More happymeal toys. I guess Mattel never learned anything from DCIH.

My feelings exactly. They are purely craptastic IMO.

DarkestKnight 08-01-2011 12:39 PM

Saw these this weekend at Wal-Mart, and at $9.96 it was an easy pass, especially seeing them right next to the GL movie toys, which have more unique molds and pretty much the same articulation, for $3 less.

xhavoc86 08-01-2011 01:35 PM

ugh...sure it shows up for people who dont want it, but for me who want them, its no where to be found. lame. lol

RiZ 08-01-2011 02:08 PM

I found these at 2 walmarts near me. the price is too high for what they are, but I still picked up the variant Kid Flash. He'll be the only one I pick up in this wave. I really want the 2 packs though.

Let me know if you want me to pick up anything for you, retail price + shipping which will be about 3-5 depending on how you want it shipped.

I saw the $20 Robin today and he looked ok and worth the $10 that the 4" figures go for, again not worth the price tag though.

If you're really serious about that offer, I would really like if you could pick up Speedy and Kid Flash (regular, not the variant) from the 4" line. Let me know on PM if you can get those or not.
