What big name characters are left?

With Kang, She-Hulk, Beast, Nova and others announced at SDCC, who's left, counting the compatible series? I know there are quite a few, but I'm curious which heavy hitters are left.

I can think of Prof X (though they hinted he was coming), Rogue, Kingpin, Elektra, Abomination, The Leader, Red She-Hulk, baron Zemo, MODOK, Polaris, Bishop, Moonstone, Hope Summers, Justice, Emma frost and Speedball.

What other "important" characters does Hasbro have left?

thechris 07-29-2011 03:09 AM

Molecule Man and Volcana, Titania.............. yeah, I'm still on my Secret Wars completion kick. :p

perrych 07-29-2011 04:01 AM

Many of Spider-Man's villains - Vulture, original Scorpion, among others. Aunt Mae.

Funny connection. :)

jimsloth 07-29-2011 04:21 AM

Aunt Mae is totally a heavy hitter. When mortals like Uncle Ben or Gwen Stacy die, they stay dead. Aunt Mae on the other hand... Clearly she is just as powerful as Captain America.

Primacron 07-29-2011 04:31 AM

I reckon 'big-name' characters should be defined as characters who have had fairly significant role in the movies or cartoons - characters that casual fans know of.

Hero wise Professor X, Rogue and Elektra are the most obvious.

I think Kingpin is the most obvious villain who's missing, then perhaps the likes of Pyro and Sandman who have had their moments on the big screen. Other than that, I imagine most people won't have realised they saw the likes of Abomination, Lady Deathstrike, Leader or Mephisto in the respective films. Certainly not by name.

Jmacq1 07-29-2011 04:48 AM

Dracula. :D

Tarquinius 07-29-2011 05:47 AM

Bishop
Ares
Rogue
Prof X
Toad hahaha
MODOk
BAron Von Strucker
Zemo

Thats mostly what I can think of..

quinten182 07-29-2011 06:09 AM

Off-topic.. kind of.. but I've been desperately awaiting the day Aunt May dies, but it HAS to be because of something the Avengers did/didn't do correctly, so Peter flips out, wears black, and becomes a villain for a stint. Can you imagine some super well drawn panels of Spidey dominating Steve, Tony, Clint, and more!? It'd be like Shadowland, but good!

Spacemafia 07-29-2011 07:42 AM

Speed Ball
Nomad
Rogue
Green Phoenix
Cannonball
Boom Boom
skids

behindthemask 07-29-2011 09:17 AM

I've always wanted a Madam Webb figure, and Beyonder figure. Professor x is the biggest character yet to be made, especially with the new x-men movie, you'd think they would of made him. Beast but Jim Lee classic beast, Rougue, Alapha Flight, I want a Sasquatch!

perrych 07-29-2011 11:32 AM

Well, to be fair, Aunt Mae has had just as much impact as Mary Jane - perhaps more so. And MJ got a figure ...

I would like to see a Runaways set. More Young Avengers. Franklin Richards seems a good bet. Spider-Girl. Tigra. Mockingbird. Swordsman. Mantis. Bigger version of Wasp. Great Lakes Avengers. Nuke. Onslaught.

Mastersteef 07-29-2011 12:01 PM

Anti-Venom, Flash Thompson Venom, Spider-man Noir, Ka-Zar, Machine Man (would love a set of Agents of H.A.T.E. figs) and....um....D-man? ;D

Tarquinius 07-29-2011 12:11 PM

I have to admit, I only consider big name characters as heroes or villians which have made it into TV or Movies

Another Ares vote here. Comic pack the dude with a void variant Sentry or another heavy hitter Phobos.

Captain Nash 07-29-2011 07:55 PM

A lot of my want list is laden with personal wants that I know may never happen or are not priorities, but there are a few "heavy hitters" in there. As far as heroes, Rogue, Wasp, Professor Xavier and Emma Frost come to mind, in fact with the annoucements from SDCC we are filling in major gaps in the Avengers lineup. Wasp really will be the only major Avenger left, IMHO. Since Firestar got a figure a Justice would seem a pretty good choice too, then you could have the whole lineup of Busiek's Avengers, and Polaris MIGHT be considered a big enough name.

As far as villains, that's a harder choice. My top two (Selene and Count Nefaria) are not top tier characters. King Pin might be an obvious choice as well as Dr. Octopus. Grim Reaper is within the top 5 Avengers foes, again IMO, so that makes him a heavy hitter but I'm not sure if Hasbro would put a character like that on the shelf. Baron Zemo and Mandarin would seem to be a pretty good choices as well, and possibly Lady Deathstrike.
