Even though it was a good result for MU at SDCC, I was so furious that we didnt see Ares at Comic Con last week that I finally took it apon myself to make my own. I just received the helmet in the post this morning to complete him. This is my first ever MU custom and I dont think it turned out too bad.

The helmet doesnt fit too bad. I could get it to fit better if I shaved off Ares' ears, but I dont want to do that so ill just leave it like this.

Thanks alot guys, im glad you like him. Yeh he looks pretty nifty. got him on the shelf with my thor movie figures and cap and iron man movie ones.

I don't have all the dark avengers ;( I prefer ares in the newer type avengers with mrs marvel and wonderman. I'll have to try and get some of those members. My need to make a wasp too!

Can't get over that Ares. I saw one made with a Wolverine movie head, shaved down hair to a buzz cut and that same helmet fits perfectly on his head. It has a lot of views and comments in the Customs WIP and Complete forums. I do like the head you used more, has a bit more character.

Tiberius I saw the custom with the wolverine head, and although the helmet might fit abit better, I wouldn't be able to bring myself to replace the gladiator head I used which for me is the most accurate Ares looking head mu have given us short of making the God Of War himself lol.

Thanks to everyone that's commented! I still hope to see an official Ares at somepoint in the future! But as he wasnt even announced, it won't be for quite some time ;(
