If I'm not mistaken that is Amazo. He was built by Professor Ivo and his main power was if he saw someone with superpowers then he would be able to use the powers as his own. So for example if he saw Superman then he would be able to do anything Superman can do. Plus he could keep adding more powers to become more powerful.

Ghost Story 08-10-2009 05:59 PM

I think so to but is he custom because i have no idea what set he is from.

Rougarou 08-10-2009 06:02 PM

Walmart exclusive, wont be able to find that anywhere around me.

Nightwing 08-10-2009 08:49 PM

I want this set mainly for the Lex Luthor figure.

I actually like the Superman figure as well even though I already have many Superman figures in my collection.

As far as the other figures go, I just wish that they were different colors. I wish the Catwoman figure was in all black, and that the Two Face figure was wearing a black & white suit like the DCSH figure had. This Two Face figure looks as if he is sharing a closet with the Joker.

Last but not least is the Batman figure. This figure looks like the only that came with Clay Face only without the mud all over him. I don't know if I have much use for this figure either.

The Real SCOOP

The pics were taken by Prismagaphy over on Fwoosh.

It is his JLU AMAZO custom in front of the box.

I thought at least he should get credit for his custom, since it is being shown here.

MegaPrime33 08-11-2009 04:48 AM

Not a bad set, but I've never really been a fan of DC figures for some reason, even though I'm a big Superman fan.

ghostdog0081 08-11-2009 07:26 AM

whats up with that martian manhunter?

Ghost Story 08-11-2009 07:55 AM

what Martian Manhunter?

Speaking of which when are going to get one in the DC Classics line?

bigkid24 08-11-2009 08:44 AM

I'm on the fence about getting this set mostly because I know it's gonna cost an arm and a leg. It'd be nice to finally have a catwoman but that purple is going to drive me crazy.

megatronkicksas 08-11-2009 09:51 AM

Getting when I see it :)

Ghost Story 08-11-2009 01:32 PM

definatley a buyer myself, even if just for the luthor. the purple catwoman is ignorant and would have prefered the black BUT at least it is a somewhat relevant varient.

Is the superman any different from the regular?

It's not ignorant, it's her purple costume. You want a black one, get the DCSH version, then. Exact same figure just in black.

He has the short hair from the two-pack with regular eyes. (non-heat vision)

Ghost Story 08-12-2009 10:56 AM

Well it's actually not her purple costume. it is her black costume painted purple. if they wanted to do the purple they should change the whole costume.

thus my opinion of it being ignorant .

I have no problem with a purple costume catwoman. I really like the kenner version they did. And I have the Black DCSH version.

In the comics she did have, at one point, a costume that was pretty much that, only with with no goggles.

So no, it's not ignorant. A little uninspired or poorly executed, but not ignorant. Ignorant means to be unaware. I'm sure they're plenty aware, but decided a quick repaint would be a nice, if a little flavourless, bone to throw.

Ghost Story 08-13-2009 01:55 PM

Really? I was obviously ignorant of the fact that she had a purple outfit that was like the modern black but without the goggles.

The only purple outfits I know of are the classic silver age with the green and then the purple and black outfit during the Batman Knight Fall/KnightsEnd era.

You are correct on the uninspired. It will probably be well executed, because it is just painting afterall.

But unaware also means lacking comprehension. Most collectors I know that did not get the earlier release would have preferred to have the black and not a repaint at all. Even ones that do have it, never opened it and would have liked one they could take out. So perhaps they may be aware but the lack the comprehension of what a lot of collectors would rather have.

Echo7Solo 08-20-2009 07:06 AM

what is the retail on this?

badmotivator 09-02-2009 08:38 PM

retail is $54.88. the walmart i found this set at today had them tagged @ $30.00 on clearance. i was floored when i scanned it and it came up @ 49 CENTS. no lie. needless to say, i bought all 6. hit your walmarts and hope for major clearance foul-ups!

nitewing73 09-16-2009 08:01 AM

I've seen this set more and more. The only one I'm remotely interested in is the Catwoman. I was hoping they rereleased the black version of this figure.

D: ) I could have bought the set I saw out today at Walmart I did not think to scan this set for it did not show any sign of it being on clearance.

I now know to scan next time.

I would have gotten this set for Selena.
