MattyCollector Classic Voltron Transformation Video

DESTRO 07-30-2011 06:26 AM

I'm still deciding if its worth the money.

Prime002 07-30-2011 06:51 AM

OH man.....this looks great

MegaPrime33 07-30-2011 07:08 AM

I'm actually glad I saw this. I am not a fan of the one touch transformation. Basically if you lose all of those key things then you're screwed. It just seems way to simplistic. I want to transform it on my own and combine them on my own; not just snap a couple of pieces together. Passing on this one.

malcontentman 07-30-2011 09:35 AM

Kind of cool, but I agree. I would rather transform it myself, and the the way you have to go about making the hind legs "pop out" for the red and green lions is a bit disturbing if you know what I mean.

sabretoothe 07-30-2011 09:50 AM

i think anythings legs would do the same if a key was jammed in the same spot...

yeah seriously, why do the jamanese always have to be doing something like that.

firmpulse 07-30-2011 01:58 PM

no.

not stabbing plastic lions in the butt to make their hind legs twitch. terrible mattel...i mean REALLY?

Optimus Vader 07-30-2011 02:22 PM

I like the slo-mo on the head flopping down.

omega145 07-30-2011 03:16 PM

I'm a big fan of the size but the Toynami Voltron looks to be a better buy and a better quality. For that reason ill stick with my plastic Toynami Voltron. The one touch transformation is a little cheesy and I prefer the manual transformation also.

Tony_Bacala 07-30-2011 05:22 PM

Pretty cool features, but not a selling point. Would be good for kids, if kids were going to buy these things.

Haha...if any kid was lucky enough to have $290 at their disposal.

Anyone remember how tall the giant ass Trendmasters Voltron with pilots was? It was in TRU in the late 90's. Couldn't bend at the knees but sculpt was blocky like this.

Pros From Dover 07-31-2011 01:25 AM

If it was anyone but Matty Collector putting this thing out, I might think about it.

I've heard nothing good about them as a company. Anyone egocentric enough to use a picture of himself wearing a crown as the logo doesn't need my money.

Shin-Gouki 07-31-2011 12:51 PM

I was on the fence before I saw this, now I am out. Utter Rubbish, I'll keep my MP and Original Mold. (97 with a corrected head)

Enigma2K2 07-31-2011 04:01 PM

Someone PLEASE show this to Omegus Prime... he couldn't handle plugging a Cyber key into BW Megatron's a**... I'd love to know what he thinks of this.

Well, now I know why the thing's so d*** expensive. They added an unnecessary gimmick. I'd buy the PCC line first. And I think they're just as big a waste of money.

... This is so true, I bought TWO.

trebleshot 08-01-2011 10:55 AM

I think I'll just stick to the two Voltrons I already have, thanks.

ludovicotek 08-01-2011 11:15 AM

Yeah, I was on the fence about this Voltron but these gimmicks definitely turned me off. I don't like that feature at all. And, yeah, if you happen to lose the key, you're pretty much screwed. Why would they add such a dumb feature to a collector-driven line? I'm really disappointed by this because I really wanted to get them, at least the lions.

Shin Densetsu 08-01-2011 11:56 AM

Man I'm beginning to think the giant ass Trendmasters Voltron with articulated removable pilots may look better than this. Anyone have that one?

Lord Chain 08-01-2011 02:58 PM

don't like the spring action at all. but i will still buy it.

squawkbot 08-02-2011 07:24 PM

Looks like a magnetic release for the auto-magic transformation.

I forsee those mechanics breaking with play as well as that key snapping off at the tip.
