Iron man unreleased to show
 

As the iron man 3.75 seems to be abit dead in retail and very little shown a comic-con ..i'm hoping to find more prototypes and unreleased iron man toys..i have over 50 prototypes so far and wish to show you guys my top rare 4 i have .....

wipelash final battle armor ( which i shown before on here)
mark 5 bio metal (which is not transparent red but a solid red version )
mark 6 holographic ( this one is a dark transparent grey with sliver lines)
war machine James Rhodes head

i'm hoping to get a armor tech iron man which has some new colors on the weapons ..if i can get it , i'll post the image

so far i have all the normal iron man 2 , marvel and armored adventures series and many card errors...

hope to get more iron man next years movie

Thanks for sharing, its pretty interesting to find prototypes. Where did you find most of them? On ebay? And how do you know its not someone messing around and trying to create a new figure as opposed to an actual manufacturer prototype?

wil we ever see them ? that would be nice to add to the good old armory

i find them on ebay and taobao in china , i check them for copyrights on the legs and you get to known whats a real version ,custom and fakes...i ask about them first and get the info before i buy them ...some versions just dont get out of china for retail sale or are dropped at the last minute...

Would so love to see those at retail.

That's cool man. I've always wondered about the legitamacy of the "prototypes" i've seen on eBay. Any reputable sites that help determine info on prototypes and the fakes that are out there?

here's some fake knock off iron man's i've seen ...would be nice to get them to ...cheap but shipping is high....

this iron man power assult has no head ...yes no head , not in the package and it's sealed ...how did this pass and got solded in retail ..got this on ebay ..

If Hasbro never gets around ot making that Whiplash final battle prototype, you should have someone make some silicon molds of the parts...

wow this is a great thread. i know there were a few but i didnt realize there were this many out there in the wild.

im not sure how many black widow prototypes got out but it looked nothing like scarlett. these iron man figs all look really cool!

hey ....pros from dover ..... love the prototypes you have and what a top job on the paint work on the two mechs..would have been nice if hasbro had shows a drawing of them to see how close you are to what would have been..i was watching them on ebay , but the price was high for me at the time..the seller is asking abit to high, i got half of what the seller has at 70% less from other places..hope theres more unrelased iron man to find...

Looks like a custom to me but it's pretty slick. I dig it.

I bought one of these a few weeks back. If you are handy with paint at all, it is easy to get it to look as good or better than the carded figure. Note that it is missing the clear yellow sword, but that wasn't much of a deal breaker with me - can't even remembering Mandi using a sword. To the point, much better deal than trying to find a carded or loose painted figure that will cost 3 times that much. (I think mine total was about $15).

I don't think Chinese sellers are known for custom figures. Especially this seller. :confused:
I think this one would be in the Iron Man Armored Avenger line.

I would have gone for the Mandarin if I were any good at painting, but I suck at that. I have really unsteady hands so I can on;y do really basic sculpting and painting for customs. =/ I usually do all the basework and then have my sister finish it, because she's crazy good at details. But she charges me for it now :P

hi again got 2 more iron man ....a armor tech iron man which was not used, you can see a plactic blue window , all the colors are new, but the iron man is the same as the other normal version..this is not a custom paint job and has it's copyright clean..looks like a 70's do color

the mark 1 comic iron man had no rust color on it , just silver/grey and less on the head color....

hope to find more in the wild ...and will show my full iron man sets soon on here...cheers

Those figures on the right with the giant chest launcher look terrible, glady they didn't get released, the back jetlike vents on his back look cool however good customizing pieces, the others look identical to the comic series 1 IM2 line, the head looks a bit more like the iron monger or is it just me.
