Thanos would absolutely obliterate Apocalypse (especially if he has the infinity gauntlet) also, he can manipulate cosmic energy and is not the least bit concerned with "collateral damage" so Apocalypse would cease to exist before he he knew what happened. :)

Ah geek time :)

You have to take the Gauntlet out of the equation. Apocalypse can/would wield it if he had it and then could do all the things Thanos was doing when he had it. If you remove that, Thanos is just another angry dude that Apocalypse wipes the floor with.

As for this matchup, I cant pick a clear winner. They are both all powerful, super intelligent beings and they'd probably start fighting each other and then realize that they can team up and take on their enemies instead.

Some of you guys don't realize just how much of a threat Thanos is TO THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. Infinity Gauntlet not required. Apocalypse can barely handle the X-men.

Thanos for me.

I don't know a ton about either, but I know a little about both, and I thought Thanos was more of a threat to the entire Universe where Apoc was more of a threat to the X-Men, and humanity.

This type of thread is a great idea too.

Thanos for sure. Even without the Infinity Gauntlet he regularly mops the floor with the likes of the Silver Surfer and Thor.

While Apocalypse has caused the X-Men some trouble, Thanos has actually succeeded at conquering the entire Marvel Universe several times.

Thanks for the feedback guys! I'd love to keep these kind of threads going, but I don't want to make 1 million different threads to do so. I don't know if I can or if the mods can make this happen, giving users power over their own thread to change title and remove and make new polls. Save a lot of thread making and I could do this like every sunday for fun.

Nice dude. I've been meaning to strart a toy versus thread like the versus thread on comicvine. Only with cool toy pics! I'll go with Thanos. Don't know much about Apocalips other than from the X-men cartoons.

You REALLY need to brush up on your cosmic Marvel, then. Even without the Gauntlet, Thanos is still much more powerful than Apocalypse.

And there's that whole curse thing, where (Marvel's incarnation of) Death won't allow Thanos to die. Ever.

Apocalypse is only nigh-invunerable. Thanos is effectively immortal.

Even without the Gauntlet, Thanos is a very powerful being within the MARVEL Universe.
