Scale?

omega145 08-08-2011 07:56 AM

It took me a minute to realize that this is the toy line for the movie coming out in October.

Orion_Prime48 08-08-2011 12:19 PM

ill grab a few

when theyre on super clearance

Whovian Zorker 08-08-2011 12:47 PM

The protagonist's robot is named "Atom"? Interesting...when I saw the preview in the theater, I thought it was "Adam." :p

Shin Densetsu 08-08-2011 01:24 PM

Anyone know if they're all supposed to be the same height? Or did Jakks screw up scale yet again?

Tarquinius 08-08-2011 03:07 PM

I honestly do not know why but....I actually like these?

I can't believe there is a movie behind it!! WTF why?! seems a little redic to me...

Regardless I kinda hope these toys ARE metal

Boba Fettuccini 08-08-2011 03:57 PM

Cool... um... some scale info would be nice, but I can't find anything anywhere. I'm going to assume 6" though. Too bad, if they were 4" or so they'd be great custom fodder.

Beerclaw 08-09-2011 04:09 AM

The characters (to my understanding; all left to right):

Top Row: Noisey Boy, Twin Cities, Zeus
Bottom Row: Midas, Atom

Top Row: Atom, Six Shooter, Zeus
Bottom Row: Ambush, Metro

Joe Moore 08-09-2011 04:41 AM

I have been able to actually find very little about the figures themselves.

trebleshot 08-09-2011 08:02 AM

Meh. Figures look ok, but the movie feels like a re-run. It's Rocky mixed with Rock 'Em Sock 'Em.

Based on the preview I saw at the theater, Atom (the "Rocky" of the film) is supposed to be at least a head shorter than the others. So yeah, I think Jakks might have screwed up the scale. Unless they re-sized his pic before they made the collage.

omega145 08-09-2011 08:29 AM

These will most likely be more aimed towards kids than collectors and that would be the reason why I think that they didnt care too much about making them in scale with one another.

Optimus Vader 08-09-2011 09:43 AM

The toyline looks like a good idea for kids, but this movie looks like shit. The only thing it's lacking is Jason Statham charging up his heart with a car battery.
