Toy Sales Down 2%, Action Figure Sales Up 13%
According to a recent article posted at MarketWatch.com, toy sales for the first half of the year have dropped 2% overall, compared to the same time period last year. In contrast, action figures sales have actually risen 13% during the same time frame. Other notable increases include: building sets, up 20%; board games; up 10%.

Pretty interesting. The numbers are far better for the toy industry than many others. Good to see that people are still going out and indulging with their collectibles.

Hasbro itself has a big share with TF's, G.I. Joe, and Marvel Legends alone, nevermind all the other stuff they sell. |
