Does anyone know (Matty question)...

if the "subscription" club for DC went through or not? I know the cut off for their decision hit, but I can't see anything on their website saying that it's a go or not.

They announced they didn't meet the quota they needed. And they announced that they are looking at how to get to go through with it anyway. In essence, they're still undecided. So no announcement yet.

Where'd you hear about this, Jetty? I was on mattycollector.com today and I couldn't find anything in the news section.

Interesting. I just want them to announce something official. But they ended up around 60+%, huh? That's not that high. Still, it would be great if they are able to go ahead with this line. I'm pretty positive it would be financially successful for Mattel if they do, but they need to get back to true classic characters and not that themed wave crap.

Matty mentioned last week that they'd hopefully have news for us this week, so hopefully we'll hear something soon...

You and I think that. And I believe the people pushing for this line feel that way too. But the trick is they need to convince their bosses. Without the subscription backing them, *that's* the hard part.

Mattel's DCUC Infinite Earth's Club is moving forward DC Fans! Here is the update from Fan Girl 2.0, posted only moments ago to the MattyCollector Facebook page!!!

Hi DC Universe Club Infinite Earths fans!

We have some good news...the 2012 DC Universe Club Infinite Earths subscription program is moving forward! As you know, we did not hit the number of subscribers we were seeking for the club, but we know that there are some very passionate DC Universe fans, so we found a way to make the program work.

Current subscribers will get 6" and oversized figures according to the schedule that was originally communicated at San Diego Comic Con and online. All figures that have been revealed will be part of the subscription program.

In order to make the program work, we needed to raise prices for day-of sales. So if you are NOT a subscriber, you will be paying more for the figures on the day of the sale. The good news for subscribers is that you are locked in at the subscription rates previously advertised.

And the even better news is that we are exploring re-opening the subscription program for a limited window of time. We've heard fans online posting that they wish that they had subscribed, so now you'll get that chance. Be on the lookout for more details and dates next week.

We still have more good news, we are excited to reveal the winning club exclusive figure...Metron! So all of the subscribers will get their very own Metron, along with his Mobius Chair!

All of this good news will hopefully mean a fabulous start to the weekend for all of the DC Universe fans!

-FanGirl 2.0

Don't know about you guys, but this made my day!!!
