Best 3.75inch Spider-Man

im tryin to find the best spiderman to fit with my MU collection. the only 1 i have now is scarlet spider. i've seen plenty of them with the seprate spidey line, comic packs and the MU line itself. i want a spiderman that can acutally get in some poses that make him look agile. if anybody got suggestions then let me know

also no thwip hand poses..so help me if some says thiwp......KKAAHHNN!!!

Do Boy 09-01-2011 05:58 AM

The Scarlet Spider is the best Spider-Man Figure so far IMO

quinten182 09-01-2011 05:59 AM

Wait for the new rocker ankles spidey and you'll have the best poses, but otherwise, all the early spideys came with one thwip hand pose.

bmorr 09-01-2011 06:07 AM

the MU single carded one. Before the house of m one. I dont remember what wave but he has a darker palate than the secret wars ones.

omega145 09-01-2011 06:34 AM

SDCC Spiderman then Scarlett Spider.

Prem1x 09-01-2011 06:46 AM

I use the Super-Poseable Spider-Man from the 4" line in my MU display. He's the right size and I like the sculpt better than the MU. He's just lacking in double-jointed knees and some torso artic.

I'm still waiting on MU to do a good regular Spider-Man. The FF version will be nice, but too bulky. The Ultimate Spider-Man coming will be a good size, but not near current MU articulation standards.

ludovicotek 09-01-2011 06:53 AM

Scarlet Spidey is probably the best out right now. I love the SDCC exclusive Spidey from last year too.

Superhero Showdown Spider-Man and Scarlet Spider:

COOL TOY REVIEW

Symbiote 09-01-2011 07:33 AM

SDCC spider-man hands down. He has the neck pivot, double jointed elbows, thigh swivels, wrist twist and pivots, calf swivels. He is the most articulated one yet. More than scarlet spider.

Artist77 09-01-2011 08:18 AM

The next one coming out looks wicked, but I forget when it does, it was shown at SDCC, I think.

Do Boy 09-01-2011 08:19 AM

That's form the new movie line coming out next year.

quinten182 09-01-2011 08:26 AM

Oh wow, sdcc spidey is really that good? Now I'm thinking of picking him up. Anyone wanna dump one off loose? Otherwise looks like ebay it is.

Yeah I wish I did. They had one at my local comic shop for only $25 and a SDCC Red Skull for $15 both MOC. Well my dumb ass passed and went back the very next day. Both where gone :(

bmorr 09-01-2011 08:35 AM

your shop sounds awesome for actually carrying something so incredibly rare. Mine just got the strange wave in, but missed the last THREE WAVES. the blame goes straight to diamond though.

Yes, he should be in pretty good scale with the Rest of the MU figures.

What's different about this Ultimate Spider-Man from all the others that use the same sculpt? I know they changed the wrist articulation to a forearm swivel which only seems more obvious a break to me.

If you ask me the original sculpt in the darker shading is the best. It has its flaws but it's better than the blk Spidy sculpt that is reused for Iron Spider, Scarlet Spider, Spider-Man 2099, and House of M Spider-Man. All of which look cool but have poor articulation.

Nice photo do boy. This is in scale with mu. The new movie one for next year looks like the same sculpt as the sdcc one with the updated costume. The best one to date with all the articulation points. I highly suggest getting it.

Pyro 09-01-2011 10:05 AM

If you want a red/blue Spider-Man with the Scarlet Spider body, which is the best Spidey body to date, wait for the Comic 2-Pack with Spider-Man and Original Costume Captain Britain to come out in a couple of months.

If you want one with the old style Spidey body, I like the paint job they did on the Comic 2-Pack with Sentry and Spider-Man. Spidey has better painted eyes in that one and they used the same body as the Black Costume Spider-Man for that one.

trebleshot 09-01-2011 10:53 AM

My favorite is the House of M version followed by Iron Spider, but I'm going only by the ones I own.

From what I've seen and read, the SDCC one looks to be your best bet as far as released toys go. Otherwise, do as Pyro suggested above.

DarkestKnight 09-01-2011 12:02 PM

I really enjoy Iron-Spidey myself as well, even though he's not the traditional look.

Is there a Spider-Man in this scale you could say is a decent representation of the Ultimate Comic version? (with big eyes and smaller stature?)

Echoing this... I was gonna say the same thing.

thechris 09-01-2011 02:53 PM

I'd say the SDCC Spider-man, although I can't bear to take mine out of the packaging. House of M Spidey/the one that came with Sentry are okay and probably lean closer to what you're looking for.

Symbiote 09-01-2011 03:24 PM

For the more comic look one, I agree that the sentry two pack one is a good representation.

iLegends73 09-01-2011 11:32 PM

thanx to everyone for their input. but i have to say ima ride with that sdcc 2010 spiderman. his atriculation is like a marvel legends only smaller. i saw a youtube reveiw vid on him and that swung my choice...the only draw back is he has a...ugh..thwip hand
THWIP!!! KAAHHHNN!!!!
