Gigantic Battles are clearanced out already

I know many of us said it would never happen, but alas, the Gigantic Battles sets have officially been clearanced out. In my area, several Wal-Marts have them for $17.00, though the amount of actual figures is pretty slim.

Boba Fettuccini 09-07-2011 07:32 PM

I've never even seen any of them to begin with...

omega145 09-07-2011 07:34 PM

Yea, I noticed this a month or so ago when I picked up a Frost Giant set (2nd one) for 17bucks and they also had a Goliath there. Also there have been some sightings of the first Goliath sets at Marshalls for under 15 bucks.

Do Boy 09-07-2011 07:37 PM

Nice. Yeah these have been on clearance by me for some time now. Still trying to find the first Goliath at Marashalls. Still no luck thou.

That would be awesome. I tried Marshalls a while back and they had a terrible toy selection. On my way out there was a sweet GI Joe, but that was the only gem in that entire pile of shit they call a store.

Amen, the toy depts if you even want to call it that are always a complete mess. What GI Joe did you pick up?
BTW, good to see you posting again.

Cobra Reptile Trainer, he was pretty cool for $4. And thanks, I've been online alot because of school, so I figured I'd get involved again.

omega145 09-07-2011 07:50 PM

Croc Master....that entire wave is flooding Marshalls. Wraith, Duke, Cobra Bazooka Trooper, BATS, and Croc Master are fairly common for 3-3.99 at almost every Marshalls ive been to. For those that havent picked those up yet, they are very much worth spending a few bucks on that GI Joe 25th toy line.

Meangreen 09-07-2011 07:51 PM

Hmm, it's good to know that the Giant Battles sets are being clearanced out now. Thanks. It's about time I got the ridiculous money together to import a Frost Giant before they get even more pricey. Would I be right in thinking they'll only be going up and up now?

I've seen an updated one that said "Croc Master" on the card at Target, but this one says Cobra Reptile Trainer". I love it.

I think you have a while before they get out of control. I've seen them at several Wal-Mart stores, and one of them even had the Frost Giant set in stock.

They have been on clearance since July!
My WM no longer has any left.

Don't forget to check TJ Maxx as they are essentially the same store as Marshalls.

omega145 09-07-2011 08:02 PM

The Croc Master you saw at Target is the POC (Pursuit of Cobra) line. The 25th Cobra Reptile Trainer (should say Croc Master on file card and stand) is an update of the original vintage toys. Thats what the 25th Anniversary line is, more detailed, articulated and slightly larger versions of the vintage GI Joes.

ORIO 09-07-2011 08:05 PM

Walmart I was at today had them marked down to $12!

Now that is news!!!

DogFashionDisco 09-07-2011 08:07 PM

Holy crap, that would be a great deal. The Wal-Marts in my area just did this recently, so hopefully they'll be $12 in no time.

Dagger 09-07-2011 08:36 PM

I picked up two Frost Giant packs one for $17 and another for about $15, because the head wasn't on so they gave me a discount on an already clearence item. winning

AndyCR75 09-07-2011 08:50 PM

thats odd considering how few Ive ever seen? ah well, dust in the wind.

Blood 09-07-2011 08:59 PM

behindthemask 09-07-2011 09:13 PM

just say the word and I send the money to get them

bmorr 09-08-2011 04:59 AM

haha yeah, can someone pick me up a frost giant lol? my walmarts took them off the shelves without clearancing them. Well, they dont clearance anything, ever. None.

miketime 09-08-2011 05:21 AM

Yeah bmorr. I bought the only one I saw in Raynham. Then they were pulled. it was like they only got in one or two of each at a time. They had so many Goliath/Skrull pks last year maybe they held back on orders. I hope to see these sets at TJ Max/Marshales. Cudos for finding them on clearance.

ORIO 09-08-2011 05:56 AM

Just to clarify, my walmart had only Goliath. No Frost Giants :(

kostej 09-08-2011 06:40 AM

Ugh, if anyone finds extra Frost Giant/Loki pack clearanced, would you please get one for me?
