Red Hood and the Outlaws
 

I have to say I really enjoy it. Fan Service and All. I will definitely pick up the next issues in the future. I can understand why some comic book fans may be offended by Starfire's behavior, but since all my knowledge of Starfire comes from the Teen Titans cartoon, it doesn't affect me at all. The only compliant I have is Jason's Helmet and the molded lips and nose on it. I'm really interested to see where this comic series is going.

One more thing STARFIRE is SMOKING HOT!!! Has she always been like this in the Comics?

Starfire has always been a whore in the comics...that being said, she has changed, but the core whoriness attribute of herself remains lol

I really liked Red Hood and the Outlaws...it was probably one of my favorite releases this week... Red Hood, Birds of Prey, and Batman were my top three this week, i got a whole bunch of titles this week.

i didnt even know who red hood was before the animated movie came out. now he is one of my fav characters. for someone who hasnt red a comic since hulk#611 would u say its a pick up?

It's really good, the art is really amazing, i hate how they draw Roy though, his character design is bleh, but the art in general is really good, surprisingly good. The story is a bit confusing and kinda hard to jump right into considering its a #1...but it does a good enough job. Definitely get it.

If you can find it. It was SOLD OUT by the time I got to my local comic book store. I hope every issue has at least one Starfire money shot like the ones above. The New 52 is doing exactly what DC was hoping for, getting guys like me who rarely buy a comic book to spend money on the sexiness above. I have no problem with that.

Only picking this up due to Roy & Starfire. Could give less of a care about Todd.

Wow. Sleeping with all of two people in several years (one of whom was actually her husband for a time) makes someone a "whore" now? Sure, she had no hangups about nudity, and was open about her sexuality (IE lacked any of the pathetic prudishness that many Americans evidence where sex is concerned), but that's not "whorish." Across 20+ years of comic existence she only had verified sex with: 1. Nightwing/Dick Grayson and 2. Some Tamaranean dude she was briefly married to. Sure, she wore skimpy/skintight outfits and was drawn as "sexy"....just like virtually every other comic book superheroine in existence.

This "reimagining" of Starfire is full-blown character assassination, and sexist pandering of the worst sort imaginable ("Hey! Hot alien who'll f*** anybody!"). Inarguably one of the worst changes of the "new" DC, and a truly pathetic way to discard the baggage of the Nightwing/Starfire relationship (Is it really so hard to say "we're adults and have moved on" and mean it?)

Sorry LXL_Guy, aside from the outward appearance, Starfire is not appearing in this book. At least Roy seems to be in much better shape than he was prior to the reboot. Though it comes at the cost of a huge chunk of what made the character interesting and fun (he's never been a single father in the "Nu-DC.")

but yes, she is very open, im pretty sure she's done a lot more than is directly said in the comics, its implied everywhere lol

WTF? That can't be unintentional, haha. I'd like to see more shots from this new comic, might have to pick it up myself. I'm a sucker for Red Hood. I know I've said this before, but you guys really need to check out Red Hood - Lost Days.

I thought that was an edited comic pannel but now I'm thinking it's not. Shame on those writers. Starfire is hot though no doubt. Love me them redheads.

It's the first few pages where Red Hood is breaking Red Arrow out of a prison. Don't expect a lot of action in this issue though, the break out scene is the only real fight scene. But do notice that the bat symbol is still on Red Hood's costume....

"Implied everywhere lol" doesn't mean diddly unless it appears on-panel. In fact, feel free to show me some of those "implied" trysts that you seem to think are "everywhere."

I'm probably sounding angrier than I mean to here, but I'm more pissed at the absolute character butchery that's been done on Starfire than you personally. Sure she's nice to look at, but at least before she was nice to look at and had more to her character than just "I'm a hot orange sexbot hee hee!"

A woman being open and honest about sexuality doesn't make them a "whore." Not even in the comics.

But hey, I guess DC had to pander to the horny 13 year old market somewhere.

Looks Great to me, just have a problem with the molded lips. Looks too much like Movie Snake-eyes. Also is this Essence Character a new Character or has she been around Jason before?

I don't follow the Red Hood to well. And the only thing I know about him is from the DC animated moive. So why does he have a Batman sign on his chest?

I guess it's there just to show he's connection to Batman and the Bat-Family. Loved the Under The Red Hood Movie btw. It's what got me into the character.

Whore might not be the proper and correct word to use, but she it fits my definition of whore. And yes, I agree her characterization has been altered...she's come off as a mindless sexbot... but I feel she has always been promiscuous, and that part of her has not changed. yes, promiscuous, that's a better word. lol

As least by reading Nightwing I'm glad Dick makes mention of his weakness for redheads.

Just finished reading Red Hood & the Outlaws. Complete anger in how they portray Kory. I can see why so much hate on all these boards. The fact that she doesn't even remember the Titans is just a slap in the face.

He is obsessed with becoming a more efficient Batman than Bruce Wayne, "the Batman Gotham needs". When Bruce disappeared he tried to take over the mantel, even built his own bat cave. The guy has some serious issues.

I'm gonna be honest, I read both Catwoman and Red Hood, and I didn't think either of these comics were overly "sexy". Girls have always been half naked in comics and it feels like second nature. Sex in comics isn't that new either...so I don't see it. But I will say I felt the article was very one sided as there are plenty of female heroes that don't go the route of being overly sexy (Batwoman, Invisible Woman, etc).

I wasn't excited for this title before, but I am now!
