Namor/Sub-Mariner Variant
 

Not sure if I'm first to actually confirm this or not, but I have 100% for sure seen 2 different name plates for him now. I know everyone else, including me, that had posted about his nameplate had said it to say "Imperious Rex"

That one is no longer at my store and the one in the picture that I found today was on both the Namors they had.

So there is definitely A variant, just not sure which is which.

Very interesting. I just ran back to the toy room and checked mine. It's "Imperious Rex". I didn't even notice before. Thanks for the heads-up.

Yeah I knew we had all seen Imperious Rex before, but no idea which one is the variant.

And yeah, this target is insane.. I wa sjust there Monday and found 2 of every figure in the new wave.. went back yesterday, all gone, today, 2 of each AGAIN.

I'd rather have Imperious Rex. I'd probably buy that figure if I saw him randomly. I got the SDCC one and that is good enough for me. Lucky for me I saved the packaging so now I can put him back in his prison and use the new one. IF I ever find it.

I bet imperious rex will be the variant being it was in the first initial run,now it seems its switching to the sub mariner stand.

Not going to get roped into this one. I'll be satisfied with whichever one I get. The stands all go into a tub, anyway.

I passed on both Imperius Rex stands as well. I don't have any Namors for sale though Do Boy, though I could check tomorrow for them if people want. There were 3 at wal-mart today.

I have the older Namor so I'm just going to stick with one figure that I'm not too terribly attached to rather than invest in another, shame on me for not seeking out the variant but I want to afford to eat.

I just checked on ebay and there are some on their that say Imperius Rex. Being a completist I gotta have one. However, I gotta wait til my BBTS order comes in to see which one I get. DAMN IT!!!!

Upon opening this in paint, zooming in 4x, flipping it, and calculating where the letters would be, I am 100% sure this is an Imperious Rex stand.. as long as THIS is the one they are shipping.. but even at first bid it's $16.00 with shipping.. but if that's worth it to someone, just thought I'd pass it on!

Yea, Imperius Rex is clearly the variant. The figure is packaged as Sub-Mariner. Neat, but I prefer costume variants since I don't use the stands for display.

at least they got the head to look closer to his original depiction. the eyebrows make the figure, lol.

The one I have says "Rex" as well. I didn't think to check the other figure when I grabbed this one.

Great pics! By far best is newest wave 4 Namor. The only thing I like about the SDCC Namor is the shell and most importantly the staff. Didnt care for the Series 1 Namor.

I stilll like my SDCC09 one. I feel the body tone is way better.

yeah take SDCCs staff and shell and give them to Series 3 Namor for the definitive version of the character all you need now is the Marvel Legends water stand and you got an awesome Namor in action
