My 1st Custom. Red Skull.

Ok this is my 1st custom, but it's not really a custom. More of a head change. Anyway I have the 70th Ann MU Red Skull. The base body for that fig is a major POS. I just picked up 2 new figs that I think may work. I have seen another custom Red Skull on here using 1 of these figs. The 2 figs I picked up 2day are ROC Destro and ROC Snake Eyes Paris Pursuit. Im trying 2 get a Regular Crimson Guard fig as well. So far this is what I got.

Destro's ball joint is 2 small and 2 low. So how could I go about changing this? The other fig i was gonna use was the ROC Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes but when I changed heads with the commando Snake eyes they both just looked 2 badass.

That's all I got so far, so any help would be awesome.

Off topic but I was also thinking if you took the head from the comic pack shipwreck and put on the MU Shield agent that could be a fast Dum Dum Dugan custom.

Prem1x 08-25-2009 09:41 AM

if you want to make RS taller, why not just swap the Destro legs onto the RS body (after painting)?

IcantBseriouS 08-25-2009 12:54 PM

there is no ball joint 2 use the destro legs. the base fig for red sull is veru cheap and limited in motion.

Snowflakian 08-25-2009 01:10 PM

for the destro body at least, you can buffer it with some putty, hot glue, or other prefered method. I didn't realize the Jones bodies had a ball that big. That's almost MU big. So a Hydra or shield agent could work too. And yeah, Indiana jones figures had rotary legs, not ball joints.

If you fill the head hole with your prefered method then fit it on the destro body, it should allow you to raise the head to your desired height to look right, and allow you to mantain range of motion. Posisbly even give you moreso, as he may be able to look up better now with that extra width even when filled.

If you had a Dremel and a bit that looks like a ball with grooves in it ( I like the 100 High Speed Cutter or the 114 High Speed Cutter) you could fill the hole in the head with epoxy putty ($6 at Walmart in the plumbing section) and drill that baby out to fit. Just make sure that you mix the putty well and away from people with a sensitive sense of smell. It kinda stinks.

I finally got hold of a crimson guard figure and I def wanna use that body. I did put the hands from the ROC Destro because they hold the red skulls gun like a champ. I now don't think I wanna mess with it and want 2 know is there any1 on here that would do this 4 me? I just need it 2 be painted and have the peg made larger. Im thinking of a greyish suit like in the spider-man 90's cartoon.

This is the thread with the guy who used Destro arms and legs to make Skull taller. The Fwoosh • View topic - MU Invaders! I like it best out of all the RS customs I've seen.

The CG wouldbe a decent jumpsuit skull though.

IcantBseriouS 09-03-2009 06:19 PM

yeah i've seen that 1. that's really y I want 2 use the cg instead. I'd like 2 have something diff.

IcantBseriouS 09-04-2009 06:43 AM

So how do I go about getting some1 2 do this 4 me? I could pay or I have a good bit of MU figs and some GI Joes.

Prem1x 09-04-2009 10:02 AM

That CG figure could turn out pretty well if you put a Blade or Gambit coat on him and buy a hat from this guy red skull

It would look a lot like this Custom Red Skull Marvel Legends Action Figure

IcantBseriouS 09-06-2009 12:38 PM

would any1 want 2 do this for some cash or a fig?

hoganvibe 09-06-2009 03:03 PM

I can see if one of my friends around here will let me make a mold of the Red Skull head and I can drill it out to fit Destro. I personally don't like the Hasbro head but I can see what I can do if it will help your custom. Or if someone else has already made a mold, maybe they can help you out.

IcantBseriouS 09-06-2009 03:21 PM

awesome. i'd really wouldn't want 2 mess with the head. just incase i want 2 put it back on the original body.

hoganvibe 09-06-2009 03:37 PM

Okay, I'll let you know when I find someone that will let me cast the head. Don't worry about the cost... my gift to you. I just like to see good customs.
