For Any Parents on Toyark...
...here is the thread to post your child's dio's or collection. :D
I had this idea when I came into my three year old son's room a month or so back to see that he had set up some of his figures "Diorama style" just like his nerdy mom and dad. (I had no idea he was paying any attention to my set-ups in the living room!) And so when he goes in to "quiet time" each day is when he usually does it, and so before I let him out I've been taking pictures of his "dio's" whenever I can. Man, I really love having a beautiful son as "nerdy" as me. lol So any other parents here on the 'Ark, here is the thread to post your son or daughters collections and diorama's for all to see and comment on. I'm sure that they'll enjoy it. :) And without further ado, here is some pictures of my son's first display... http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...204001117a.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...1204001117.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...204001116c.jpg |
...And here is a dio from a month back.
http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0822011643.jpg ..And a GIJOE Dio, he was helping me assemble a few weeks ago.. :) http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0919011832.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...919011752a.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0919011752.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...919011751a.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0919011751.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0919011749.jpg http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...0919011748.jpg |
..And then yesterday, I cam into his room to find this one. My favorite part of it I gotta say, is how he set it up to have Riddler and GL sitting in the dino saddle's as if they were big tribal chairs. ;D

Great thread dedicated to our kids that are more important than any of our collections.
Took these last night with my daughter. She stuck her fairies in while I was taking pics of my BAF Giant Man. http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...5/DSCN1112.jpg http://i1222.photobucket.com/albums/...5/DSCN1113.jpg |

Someone was desperate to get Daddy new Classic Avengers 3-pack setup how he wanted them. ;D (I only helped him with Hawkeye's arrow)

I'd like to get my son some of those little marvel heros. He's 16months but never to early to start.
|
I used to think that I should have a child to justify walking into toy stores. Now I think I should have a child as a chick magnet.

Here's some pics of my twin two year old daughters and I having a tea party with their super hero collection, or as they call them, their suppas. Good times right there.

But the best part is Bizarro (who my son is excitedly exclaiming that he has too) holding the tea cup above his head. :D |

My daughter loves to do that too. She also makes me put one on, at least until the straps start to dig into my temples.

Phew...this thread is a ghost town now, time to give it some new life. :D C'mon Arker's lets see some more pics of your nerdy progeny! ($10 dollar word there, lol)
Anyway, 1st up are some pics of my little dude playing with some of my MU figs yesterday. He didn't understand that the Dark Avengers were "bad guys" since they look exactly like "Spida-man" and "Wool-wa-Ween". ;D Also, I have to give him props on figuring out such a creative use of those stupid "blast accessory" things that come with a lot of early MU, in order to make Iron Patriot "fly". http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...108011454a.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...1108011514.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...1108011515.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...108011515a.jpg His "bugged out" eyes in this pic make me laugh so hard. XD http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...108011515b.jpg From out of the mists of Eternia, a proud warrior astride his ferocious steed, beware minions of Skeletor for there is no escape from....Spider-man??? Well, apparently my son thought he was the most worthy to ride "the fighting tiger of eternia". lol :D http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...1107011526.jpg As we are currently potty training my little guy, as a reward for going so many times yesterday was the "arc reactor" chest piece in these pics below (got it from Wal-mart for 88 cents!! post-holiday sales FTW!) http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...108011719a.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...108011719b.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...1108011720.jpg ..And upon seeing the pictures, he got the biggest smile on his face and started laughing happily (which really does make it all worthwhile) which got Dad thinkin, and so I took some pics of him into photoshop and with a little bit of cutting, pasting, and brushing, VOILA! instant toddler superhero! Needless to say he lost his mind when he saw the completed pics and started shouting and laughing so excitedly that I though he was going to bring the house down. ;D http://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...isironman2.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...eenlantern.jpghttp://i1135.photobucket.com/albums/...erman3copy.jpg Hope everyone enjoyed this update, now lets see some more cool pics of everyone else's awesome nerdy kids![/SIZE] |
I miss that about being a kid. You didn't concern yourself with things like "scale" and "continuity" and something like a cardboard box or a styrofoam insert from a new refrigerator meant a new base/playset for your action figures. :)
