Oddness at TRU: Marvel Bakugan
 

Took my kids to TRU and the 6 y.o. is a Bakugan kid. I was walking in the aisle when I spied Bakugan vs. Marvel Bakugan packs (I didn't take pics, sorry, it just occurred to me as I was writing this).

They had two Iron Man Bakugan packs, Red/Yellow and Red/Silver and a Wolverine in traditional Yellow/Blue and XForce colors as well.

Needless to say the 6 y.o. was unimpressed. Go figure (pun intended).

So file this in the category of odd cross-overs of which Marvel seems to have ton of.

I saw these and was wondering who would want them. If I was into Wolverine I'd just want a Wolverine figure, not a mini robotic Wolverine that has the power to turn into a ball. I'm not a kid, or into Bakugan, so what do I know.

all i can say not for me , but great for marvel / bakugan fans

I would never buy those.

It has given me a thread idea though....

Man, I just hope that Wolverine Bakugan is decent enough powerful... would be a shame if some weak Pikachu Bakugan opened up a serious can of Baku-whoopa** on him. LOL.

Silly crossover toys, id like to know who's involved in the thought process of manufacturing these and thinking they will sell like hot cakes or be interesting to children or collectors.

That's all I can think on this, I mean trying to mix these two together is not a good idea and will not end well.

Eh, who knows, Transformers/Marvel happened and keeps happening e en though I don't get why.

Honestly, I'm not that surprised. Marvel's had their characters appear on just about any product immaginable (especially if it's made by Hasbro).

I wonder if they're legal for tournament play?

I'm sure they're legal. Aren't all crossovers in games still legal? Heroclix supported that as long as the game wasn't formatted.
