Love Doom, love love love. Finally found one locally in his dark green attire and bought it. Now with my comic pack one I knew I had to make Future Foundation Doom to go with my soon to be in my possession Future Foundation variant set. Also painting with white is terrible...

I'm sure you'll get the paint job right. Cape looks good. You going to attempt making the card as well?

wow whats happening here... i havent read any future foundation stuff but i intend too. i only buy graphic novels, not comics so i will wait forit to come out in graphic novel form.

why is doom in the future foundation??? surely he is the sworn enemy of the fantastic four??? WHATS GOING ONNNNN!!!??

That's looking really good, Tiberius. With his arms folded, it's hard to tell, but does he have the crest on his chest like the rest of them?

is that issue with Doom on the cover out now?

Issue isn't out yet. #10 is coming out this month so 13 should be around Christmas or New Years? He also has no crest on his chest. The reason he is with the team is that he made a deal with Val that if he helped her he wanted his intelligence back and be part of the team. If anyone has read House of M, everyone got their hearts desire [almost] and Dr Doom has always bee jealous of Reed and his team/family. So he got his own team/family that worked for the House of M. Details are fuzzy but I THINK that's how it all works.

You did a great job painting Doom's cape white in the first photo.

Do you plan on putting a grey wash over the white to give him some texture?

Here are some coats on the torso, probably do another 1 or 2. I think I will paint the inside of the hood grey too.

Thread will die out pretty fast once he is done :P. I also think I will get his arm sockets a grey too. Add some minor shading that way I think xD.

its looking good. yeh white is hard to work with because it takes so many coats!!! well, not hard, just costly if you use expensive paint! you could water the paints down to save them abit, but then it would take EVEN more coats lol.

whits isnt as bad as yellow though.

Can't really tell, but I think his new costume may also be sans gun holster, too, which would add even more variation if you wanna go that far but might want to confirm that. Who's that on that poster thumbnail anyway? Franklin Richards? I haven't read much Marvel at all in the last while. :p

I don't think I'll be painting with white for a very, very long time after this...

So after 8 damn coats of white to get a solid colour, it looks like shit. I do not think I will be painting with white as a prime colour ever again because it is just bullshit. Lose detail because of to many coats and STILL don't get a solid colour, even with primer and undercoats. Post the final product when he is as complete as I can get him.

thats the exact paint i use. ive been painting fantomex over a showdown punisher figure and have found i only really need about 3 coats... maybe 4. i do slap it on thick though

I doubt it man, I havent seen anything that you've done as mediocre and the Red Skull that I have is far from mediocre, :). Make sure you post pics when your done. Do you have the FF set to take pics next to this Doom?
