MU revision wave rant

I guess this is nothing but ranting. But, while other parts of my city are getting all the new waves, my part of town sucks. Rarely do we get re-stocked, but then it takes at least a month to get the next re-stock...even though I hear the same old bullshit, "we get trucks everyday" or sometimes 3 times a week.

Just like may of you, my local stores are full of shelfwarming Iron Man's, Spidey's, Multiple Man, Wrecker's, etc. Now I love revision packs, but why do they continue to pack these in the revision packs?? Now all the good characters are bought up, and we are left with MORE Spidey's, Cap's, Thor's, Wrecker's, Multiple Man, etc. So no re-stock.

If new molds are scheduled for next year, and some already hitting shelves, why are they releasing all these old molds in the revision, like Spidey, Daredevil, Punisher, tall long neck Wolvie.

With one per pack, some of these are still hard to find. Guardian, Electro, where are you? There are 4 classic Ms. Marvel's and flame-on Johnny Storm's peg warming.

Finally, where's Blade?? Non-phasing Vision, variant Havok and Archangel.

I think this is more of a case of people finding things to complain about. Hence another thread/post/rant about lack of distribution and questioning how/why Hasbro distributes the way how they do and how retailers order/distribute themselves.
Your lucky that you even get MU whether its revision case or not as a lot of places dont get crap. Most of my stores havent gotten any of the new waves at all.

RenegadeOne 10-05-2011 11:48 AM

I wish there were flame-on Johnny Storms pegwarming down here... I still need him since I never saw any when that revision wave hit. Same with phasing Vision.

The Guardian and Electro revision cases haven't shown up yet as far as I know.

Do Boy 10-05-2011 11:49 AM

What part of Houston are you from?

Fortune 10-05-2011 12:21 PM

Honestly I dont mind this at all seeing as I am just getting in to MUs so it gives me a easier time catching up :)

Saint Phe 10-05-2011 12:42 PM

All my whole area has gotten for at least a year are weird revision cases. It's been a LONG time since we've seen a new wave. The worst part is, the only two stores that carry MU are one Toysrus and one Walmart. They get the same revision cases at the same time! The pegwarmers have added up until there's no more room for new figures. But even if I bought every single one, I know they'd just restock another revision case!

Tiberius 10-05-2011 01:05 PM

I haven't seen a single revision case yet, I think you are all crazy thinking they even exist. I like it that I don't get these cases though because it is hard enough to get new waves around here. Revision cases will just peg warm.

Fortune 10-05-2011 01:35 PM

Anyone who is complaining about peg warmers. I have a suggestion. Buy up all the multiple mans and send them to me as presents! That way your store has to order new shipments. Win win...right?

RenegadeOne 10-05-2011 01:44 PM

I think another arker said he bought all of his local WM pegwarmers and returned them at one way across town... and then his local WM just stopped carrying MU all together. Definitely not win win for him.

Hmmm thats bad buisness on that walmarts part. If you see a spike in sales for a product like a purchase of that size would create then the store manager should clearly order more. Its almost risk vs reward with low risk but ver high chance of reward.

Do Boy 10-05-2011 01:51 PM

I don't mind the revision waves. It gives me chance to catch up.

Damn right! I got a classic (short hair) Ms. Marvel the other week- I passed on her a long while back and never saw her untill now.

Gotta get more AIM guys too, of course!

They put multiple man in a revision wave? How did I miss that? No one in their right mind should have him in it. If anything I'd think someone was buying elsewhere & returning them to your part of town.

Do Boy 10-05-2011 08:24 PM

Interesting choice in SN...

joemama13 10-05-2011 08:29 PM

Have never even seen a phasing vision at my targets or walmarts. :(

I just got my Archangel from a revision pack at a TRU this week. Don't give up hope!

A good word of warning if that's true...

I don't know if they did, but we've got MM's out the ears out here.

I've only seen it at collector's shops.

Ah, too bad. I thought the regular AA was lost to eBay before this week.

Yea, I think the Albuquerque market is full of collectors who aren't online. Hell, I found three of them on here in my first day. That's as many as you Houston guys have! So I'm imagining that even these are getting swept up quickly.
