Hasbro and movie inspiration
 

It has been stated that there are similarities between the likenesses of the characters from the Predetor movie and Pursuit of Cobra GI Joes. i.e. Spirit and Billy. I noticed this evening while watching Aliens, that one of the weapons that the marines use is nearly the same weapon that comes with the 30th Anniversary Iron Grenadier. Has anyone else noticed similarities with Hasbro products and particular movies?

Recondo=that guy from predator that recondo looks like.
Quick Kick= karate kid+enter the dragon+ some other karate film.

Yeah, I know about all the Joes that resemble characters from Predator. I was wondering if there were more similarities beyond that.

The mini-gun that comes with POC Destro v2 is very similar to the one used by the Marines in Aliens. Not sure of anything else, beyond character likenesses.

Also "that dude that Recondo looks like" is Jesse Ventura (Blain in the Predator movie).

I was thinking the gun from the 30th IG rather than Destro's.

Hahaha I knew his name was Jesse Ventura but could not remember his characters name to save my life. I am just the type who refuses to stop in the middle of a post to look something up.

No worries, Fortune. My head is full of insane amounts of trivia and minutae. It doesn't help that I'm a bit of a trivia buff too.

But I will admit, I still looked it up to make sure I spelled his character's name correctly. I'm a little OCD when it comes to correct spelling.

Haven't seen it out of the package yet. Is it similar to Destro's?

I haven't opened my IG. But the gun does look different than Destro's.
