Simple paint job. Undercoat black, dry brush silver. Anyone can do it! Paints used where Citadel Paints.

Great work!! Wish I had the patients to do something like this.

Tiberius 10-09-2011 02:27 PM

Thanks dude! There has been a lot of Absorbing Man talk going on so I knew I had to upgrade him to look more epic.

CLASSIFIED 10-09-2011 02:48 PM

Wow, Tiberius...

That simple paint app makes the fig look a thousand times better!

Great work dude.

jamesmruddy 10-09-2011 02:50 PM

Awesome work there.

D00MTR0N 10-09-2011 04:29 PM

very well done man.

Tiberius 10-09-2011 04:39 PM

Thanks guys! I am really happy with how it turned out. I now can skip the new one if I see it. Maybe. I do like the classic Zebra prison pants haha.

IT REALLY IS! Honestly, when my gf bought steve rogers, it like helped me urge to buy figures lol.

omega145 10-09-2011 05:03 PM

Excellent job! I might have to do this so that I dont have to buy that variant Absorbing man thats coming out.

Tiberius 10-09-2011 05:09 PM

I may attempt to do the white/black pants one day. But right now, I hate white and will not paint with white for the rest of the year :P.

That's just funny as hell!! Looking at it in print it's completely absurd, but I can totally agree about the frustration of painting white.

Try this and thank me later:

Haha, fixed the link.

Duplicolor Vinyl spray paint.

Super strong and the white comes out great.

Tiberius 10-09-2011 05:20 PM

Nice, what do you do if you are just wanting a section, in this case lower legs, without painting the whole guy white.

Tape ;). mask off the unwanted parts. But truth be told I use this as primer on my soft plastic figures. It sprays thin and clean, you can drag your nail across it when dry and no chance of scratching the paint.

This is coming from a Spray can hater too, I loathe rattle cans. I much prefer the control of my Iwata but I have not yet tried to decant this and run through my brush.
