Lego Super Heroes Movie Submission!
I posted this on Hisstank earlier, but I thought this would be fun to share here as well...
So: Many of you might know about the Lego Superhero film/art contest that was announced at Comic Con at the end of July. Well, my son and I decided right away to dive in and get started. He wrote the plot and the general outline for the script, which I fleshed out a little. He and I built all the sets together during the day and I did all the filming after the kids went to bed each night. The voice acting was all done by students at the high school where I teach. Originally we were talking about a 10 minute movie, but it is up to 29 minutes. I have uploaded PART 1 and I am going to get PART 2 submitted by the November 15th deadline. (or die trying...) I'm fairly proud of this little movie, and I wanted to share. Our Lego Batman Adventure: Part 1 - YouTube Let me know what you think! -Larry |
Hey man, this turned out really great. The audio around 4 min. into it was kind of choppy, but otherwise it is really well done. I have to say, this must have cost you a lot to put together, seeing how the figures and sets are pretty pricey. The sets and video work are fantastic, and if your kid came up with this then well done.

This definitely deserves to win. It must of took forever.

WOW! I love this!! :D Huge fan of LEGO Batman. Had a few of the sets and played the game religiously on XBox 360.

Thanks, guys.
My son and I put over 300 man-hours into this project so far. We are about 1/3 of the way through part 2. I'll post a link in this thread when it is done. |
Excellent job!
Looking forward to part 2 and good luck with the contest! |
Wow this excellent work!

Hey man, brilliant effort on your film submission. I was going to enter it but I'm not a US resident and I'm not allowed to win so that immediately put me off even bothering... that and the fact I don't actually have any DC Lego sets, but I was going to get a Batman off of Ebay or Bricklink or something... I just hope they do something similar for Marvel characters because I have some of the old spider-man stuff they did and LOADS of extra minifigures... they should also make it worldwide for a fairer competition.

very awsome man , hope you get those prizes :D
