GI Joe Renegades - What figures do you want?

2 Attachment(s)
I know this is normally a hisstank topic, but thought it'd be interesting to see the toyark thoughts on this.

What GI Joe renegades figures do you want to see made? What episodes are they from? And what vehicles do you want to see either adapted for a renegades line, or from the show?

--------------

Personally, I'm all about the episode "The Cutting Edge".

I want that version of Jynx to be made, alongside her bike. Heck, I'd buy every color variant made of that figure if the design was anywhere near as cool as it was in the show.

I also really want a Renegades Baroness with her power gloves from the show.

For vehicles, I want to see the Cycle Armor adapted for the cyber arashikage with Cyber-Jynx inspired helmets. Different color variations again, and a myriad of characters throw in. Well at least one male (Ashiko), and one Female (Scarlet or Jynx).

I'd also love to see the mech suits that cobra commander uses in the finale, as well as the other episodes that featured them. My main hope though is for that Cyber-Ninja Jynx to be made as a figure. That was just too much badass to not use it ever again.

Hell, a whole series of just suits like that would be epicly awesome. That's the kind of thing I want to see a new inhumanoids done as, while the retro suits stay bulky, but the modern need to be sleek and agile like that one was.

But anyway back to Renegades. Hasbro, PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF ALL THAT IS HOLY MAKE A CYBER-NINJA JYNX FIGURE! Heck, even a subline of just Cyber-Ninja figures would be ungodly awesome! Cyber-Jynx, Cyber-Snake-Eyes, Cyber-Scarlet, Cyber-Storm Shadow, Cyber-Baroness, the Ashiko bikes, Retooled ashiko bikes to have the Cyber-Jynx motorcycle look. All of it is just too awesome!

Sorry for the rant, but I saw the episode again yesterday and it made me remember how badass that was and how we still don't have a figure of it.

Heck, Cyber-Ninja, Techno-Ninja, whatever they name it, if it's as badass as the show design but in modern joe aesthetics I will buy it up in droves.
Doesn't seem like that hard to make either. Just reversed wraith gloves trimmed, the wraith armor trimmed without the shoulder boads and lower armor piece, and grey/silver impact/reactive suit scarlet. The helmet would be the only piece that'd outright need to be a new molded piece, but even that could probably be done from the accel suit helmets but backwards and trimmed of the bird nose, and rear mask part to show the mouth of the figure, then just trim the original face mask out so it can still open and close, or something on that order for the new designed one so it can evoke the epicness that is this episode.

That reminds me, I need to buy more of that scarlet if I can ever find her for a decent price. That buck is just too awesome for too many things.

Darkspeed 10-12-2011 10:07 AM

I wanna see them do figures for Major Bludd and Destro for sure... Bludd was oddly one of my favorites from the show, and I would love to see not only a figure, but also his ride!

The same goes for Destro and his HISS tank too, that would be a brilliant set!

CLASSIFIED 10-12-2011 10:28 AM

I'm a huge Joe mark, so I would buy all of them.

That said P-Coat Shipwreck is a definite must have.

Fortune 10-12-2011 10:43 AM

Jinx a figure that I would take in any modern incarnation. The more women the better.

trebleshot 10-12-2011 11:30 AM

When it comes to that show, I'd be good for all of the characters/vehicles to get toys. Biggest priorities for me (including what's out/coming up) would be the main cast (heroes and villains), then the secondary cast and one-offs. As for vehicles, the Coyote, HISS tank and Cyber Cycle to start with, please. After them, the mech suits, Trouble Bubbles, the various helicopters/gunships and other stuff.

Yeah, I'd be all in for any Renegades figs. Love the styling. They translate into action figs so nicely.

Reaver Strike 10-12-2011 12:34 PM

I'm a fan of Joe, but Renegades just didn't do anything for me. The same goes for the toys.

neatogecko 10-12-2011 12:39 PM

I'm probably the odd man out, but for the most part I didn't particularly care for the Renegades styling. The big exception there being Cobra Commander. I love the Renegades Cobra Commander.

Yeah, but the figs fit in pretty well with the rest of the Joe figs.

I think the best thing they did with the Renegades line was make them a little less like the cartoon style, so they can fit in a lot better with other lines. I've heard a lot of people way they don't like Duke's head, but I think it looks great.

CLASSIFIED 10-12-2011 02:04 PM

I think it looks good too, and have contemplated buying extras in order to replace some of my other Duke heads.

Darkspeed 10-12-2011 02:25 PM

Hope no one minds me throwing another suggestion in there, but what this line needs is some Bio-Viper troopers... We already have the Cobra security troopers coming in the next wave, but I'd love to troop build with these guys!

CLASSIFIED 10-12-2011 03:43 PM

How about a Bio-Viper factory where you can Bio-Vipers out of Play-Dough.

A little different for the Joe line, but a cool idea... I know the Doctor Who line has a set where you can make copies of other toys by using the latex-like stuff that comes with it (Relates to an episode in the show!) so that could happen.

D00MTR0N 10-12-2011 04:08 PM

destro and major bludd.

They showed a zombiefied Bio Viper at one point, so there's that at least. But I'd prefer the more technobioviper design the show has while still in the realistic aesthetic.

I definitely love the styling for it's interchangability between lines. I keep my renegades with my Accel Suit movie figures, Resolute inspired snake eyes, and Lady Jay.

And I'm going to fan out again and just outright say I NEED A TECHNO-NINJA/CYBER-NINJA JYNX!!!
If there's only one more figure from renegades done past what is planned, I hope it's her. Nay, I PRAY it's her. Bike optional but much prefered(especially if it's a retooled ashiko bike with interchangeable arm guards for the arm pegs or at least the single carded version of her doesn't have the pegs)!
The only one who comes anywhere near the amount of want I have for that figure is Baroness in her renegades outfit with those badass power gloves nad her glasses.
Please hasbro, don't make me beg! Cause I will, and it won't be pretty!

Darkspeed 10-13-2011 02:01 AM

I agree that Jinx and Baroness need to have figures too... Baroness was such a central character in the show, and if they can give us Law & Order and Airtight, I don't see why we can't a Jinx figure.

Oh, and I saw those Zombie Vipers from the 30th anniversary line, and I'll be picking up one of those if I see it... But we still need some Bio-Viper troop builders! :P

Definitely. The Zombie bio-viper is a badass sculpt, but it's just not troop building material with how individualistic it looks. A full body normal show bio-viper is much needed.

Oh I disagree, I think the Zombie Viper is perfect for a troop builder... A few of those and you got your own Cobra zombie horde! :P

Crazy Jetty 10-13-2011 10:13 AM

The single biggest dissapointment is that Hasbro has refused to make a toyline for this series.
This is the *only* Joe series I actually like. And it's the only one with no toys. AGGRIVATING!

I want the main cast (Duke, Scarlet, Tunnelrat, Roadblock, Snakeeyes), Flint, Lady Jaye, Baroness, and the Coyote. Those would be my top priorities (And I rarely, if ever buy vehicles).
Anyone beyond those would be pick or choose.
But if I could only have one, it would be Lady Jaye. -=purr=-

Optimus Vader 10-13-2011 10:44 AM

I don't collect Joes, but I check them out in the stores once in a while. Not a fan of this animated style, but the Cobra Commander looks like it was made for one of you customizers to make a movie Red Skull (when he's wearing his over-coat).

I take that back, you're right. I was mis-remembering the head for some reason. It has a blue melted like face that can definitely be used for troop building, but it doesn't have that same vibe the show one does with the head marking featureless face without the uniform.

Definitely would make for a killer troop building as a zombie-horde. The helmet helps create that vibe of the show one too. In fact, I kind of hope that same type of helmet is used for the Techno-Ninja Jynx, but clear where the mouth is, and silver on the top half.

*Edit*
You know, I never noticed that helmet before. I may have to buy the hell out of these guys because that helmet is just so freaking awesome for customs.

Darkspeed 10-13-2011 11:15 AM

Yeah, this is definitely going on my shopping list... I don't even mind if it doesn't fit in with Renegades, they just look good!

Not sure if I'm reading this right, so sorry if it sounds condescending, but Hasbro are releasing Renegades stuff as part of the 30th anniversary line... We already have Duke, Snake-Eyes, Cobra Commander and Firefly, and we're getting more in the next wave: New GI Joe 30th Anniversary Wave 3

Just to bring the thread back on topic... Anyone have a preference on vehicles? I reckon the Coyote is top of everyone's list, but wouldn't mind seeing the HISS tank and Flint's jeep.

Maybe im misreading this but you do know that there are some GI Joe Renegades currently out? Duke, Cobra Commander, Firefly, Snake Eyes, and have some coming out later this year.

Edit: started typing this 30 mins ago and after finally posting, realized the post above

CLASSIFIED 10-13-2011 11:49 AM

I like the Trouble Bubbles they came up with for the show.
