Is it rare? Found one today and I was really tempted to buy it but I couldn't really justify $40 right now. That's half a paycheck with my cruddy part-time work.

Not yet. I've seen a set or three in every TRU I've been in lately. But you know how suddenly TRU exclusives can disappear.

Same here. It's sitting there pretty well. I used the 20% off facebook coupon a while back to get mine and the FUL set as well.

I saw a poster for the TRU layaway program. I thought I might give that a shot if they still have it...

Heck, I thought it was rare. It was an SDCC exclusive at first - I neglected to remember the part where they said it'd be coming to retail.

I had it in my cart when TRU had it up online. Went to checkout, and apparently it sold out before I could finish. Of course I was pissed, thinking I'd never get another chance. And idiots were selling it on eBay for at least $80 or more.

Then I saw one at my TRU a while back and nabbed it in excitement. When I came back, they had plenty filling up the shelves along with the Force Unleashed one.

Oh, and TRU's doing layaway??

I didn't know these were a SDCC exclusive?

I say pass on it.

If it didn't sell out at the con then it isn't in high demand.

Um, it did. And it sold out when TRU put it online for SDCC too. It's the rarer of the two multipacks out now. My new TRU sold out of the 7 they had in a week.

And yet, BF found one at his TRU just yesterday.

I still don't think he should buy it because he's on the fence about the price, so I was just trying to talk him out of it.:)

I understand he found one. Hasbro released them like they did MP Rodimus. First at SDCC, and then at retail, for a higher price. Plus, the price comes out to $8 a figure, which is what single-carded figures cost.

Single carded figures (not vintage) cost me about $6.49

I saw this the other day, are the commandos finally fully articulated?

I've wanted a set of the commandos since the original EE exlcuslive YEARS ago... but I'm cutting back now. And these actually don't cost too much on Ebay...

EDIT: TRU has it in stock online. cool! If it's still there in a few weeks maybe I'll pick it up. I have a thing for clone troopers with colorful armor.

so at very least, if I get some more money together, i can get someone to pick it up for me since evidently some people like joemama have found more than one.

Hw must be lucky. I have never seen one again since I got mine.

I have a $40 figure set I've been craving for years, I need a new compressor mic @ $100 or so, a new recording interface @ $200 or so, it takes $60 to gas up my truck and my girlfriend is an hour and a half drive away, and my part-time hours got cut so I'm making only $80-90 a week. man, socialism is starting to sound more appealing by the minute.

I keep finding these sporadically at my store. I can try and snag one for you if you'd like next time I find one.
