Fantomex looks amazing!!

Jason Abbadon 10-13-2011 02:29 PM

WOO! Look at that great articulation on the 3.75" Avengers Movie figs!

Nice. MUCH better than those on Thor or Cap's movie lines.

theestampede 10-13-2011 02:35 PM

bucky cap is so baught, would have been interested in a number of the others as well, like drax, but I'm not buying another figure with that hip style.

So much hatred for those hips.

Someone mind telling me what "Big Time SpiderMan" is all about? Pardon the ignorance.

sarcasm much?

Snowflakian 10-13-2011 03:02 PM

I'm sold on the Cap and Widow 4'' figures definitely. They have all the articulation of the previous lines. Thigh swivels, elbow swivels, and BW has ankle articulation. Cap has torso swivel, so he's fine now. Just need to see if he has ankle articulation to cement his awesomeness.

That hulk figure is a complete pass though. Makes me glad I grabbed one from the norton flick line instead for my movie avengers hulk. The 4'' loki though has me sold even if his helmet isn't removable.

I would also like to know. He looks like something out of Tron.

Ash Talon 10-13-2011 03:09 PM

The 4" movie Cap doesn't have torso articulation. You're looking at the 6" ML version.

Except for Hulk, none of the movie Avengers 4" figures have torso articulation. I brought this up at SDCC to the guy that runs ML when he was in the Hasbro booth. He mentioned dropping torso articulation to maintain the sculpt and as cost-cutting. Since most of the movie Avenger costumes have natural lines in the torso which would be ideal point to fit in articulation, I don't buy the aesthetics argument. And it looks like they're including action feature accessories, like the green Cap shield launcher, so I don't buy the cost-cutting argument either.

The lack of torso articulation will probably cause me to skip on the 4" movie Avengers stuff.

Fedup23 10-13-2011 03:10 PM

KANG!!!!

Just messed my Avengers underoos.

I'm dead serious- that Hawkeye and Black widow both look incredible- as long as they have elbow swivel (ad they appear to), these will be great additions to the MU line...(hoping they're more in-scale, like Cap's line was than than the Thor line).
"Tahsa even looks to have ankle articlation!

It's interesting that they're keeping the aliens and Maria Hill figs secret for a while- I hear the aliens are Skrulls (which explains why Thor and Cap are fighting in the trailer).

Spidey recently got hrt and lost his spider-sense: which means he's gone from "impossible to hit" to "Rookie with powers" for toughness.

And he got a typical Marvel Bullshit Job that pays crazy money, has no fixed hours or oversight and gives him access too high tech manufacturing equipment 9and his bosses dont notice loss of materials etc.).
So he's made up a bunch of alternate outfits- one that's bulletproof, one that's shock proof, etc.

It's hackery and I dropped the title...the Tron look is laughable too.

One god thing has come of it all- Spidey got Shang Chi to teach him some martial arts- so Peter will finally know how to actually fight!

Nope, it's the 4inch one I'm looking at, just not the pics here. 6'' has double elbows and swivel biceps with balled leg connectors. 4'' doesn't, it has swivel thighs and swivel elbows with a clear torso cut you can see the gap of in the side edges and front. I'm looking at the pics on marvelous news, and you can see caps torso cut plain as day. Though it does look like the detailing will hinder the range of motion. I'm not digging the 4'' cap figure gunshield launcher though. That's a bit much unlike the 4'' ironman's hyperbeam shoulder attachment that nods MVC1-3.

http://i.marvelousnews.com/g/index.p...ze=600&start=0

You can see 6'' loki behind him with removable helmet. The 4'' line has a loki where the helmet is molded on. You can see on cap the upper torso cut too, similiar to the wolverine, thor and ironmna lines used. Now thor, loki, and ironman don't seem to have it. Haven't looked closely enough at BW's pic to even tell if she does or not. The launcher blocks a clear view of cap's feet though to tell if there is any kind of improvement there.

Hopefully you'll see when toyark uploads better pics than marvelousnews ever does. I love that track record of the better pics being here even if it means waiting.

But until then, here's 4'' loki.

is it just me or do the avenger figures especially the 4inch look down classes compared to past movie line in articulation and sculpt....I'm not liking what I see..... I mean less articulation in the knees elbows and the loss of the upper torso joint If thats the case I'm going to unfortunately pass on this line and I was truly looking forward to it especially the cap and iron man :(

Isn't that movie Loki a 6" figure? He's on the same shelf as 6" Hawkeye.

Detailing is way up. Some of the articulation is lacking though.

Cap has upper torso swivel, many of the others don't. Most have thigh swivel, and some kind of ankle articulation. Cap seems to be lacking ankle articulation though because of the detailing in the boots. Ironman has it because his shin guards can hide it. Hawkeye I haven't seen a good enough pic to tell at all what he has, it looks like he doesn't even have thigh swivels though as yet. Black boots make it impossible to tell for ankle articulation at all on him.

Thankfully though, you can always just use previous line figures for certain ones like Hulk, Ironman, and thor if you'd prefer. The ones this become an issue for are new cap costume, hawkeye, and BW. Cap being good enough really with what looks like a torso cut, and BW looks amazing with her ankle articulation and thigh cuts.

You can see the 6'' compared to behind him and yet still towering. He's on the same shelf as the 6'' but he's definitely not 6''.
The removable helmet one is definitely 6'' though. The molded on helmet one is 4''. In the cap pic you can see loki holding his helmet, which proves he's of a bigger size. The same as you can see hawkeye towering over molded on helmet loki which proves that loki is smaller. Both show that 4'' and 6'' are on the same shelf.

Here's a better shot to prove it.

Thanks. I was strictly looking at ToyArk photos, and they didn't have any pictures of the 4" Loki. Still loving the 6" more though.

stjuggernaut 10-13-2011 05:15 PM

The 4 inch and 6 inch Thors are my favourite. The face sculpt on both looks very similar. usually the 3.75 ones arent as good. but both look great. i will def be getting all the 4 inch and 6 inch versions. that loki with removable helmet has got to be the best.

and speaking from the standpoint of someone who is into bodybuilding, is it me, or have they made hawkeyes biceps bigger than the odinsons??? that is preposterous! LOL

Can i post a pic of the variant Darkhawk that i took?

MintCondition 10-13-2011 06:51 PM

Couldn't care less about the 4 inch figures, but I can't WAIT for the 6 inch movie Avengers.

Cap and Hawkeye look GREAT. Loki looks FANTASTIC. Even the new Thor looks great, but dawn Loki and Hawkeye look so accurate to the actors.

I hope they make a 6 inch movie Black Widow.
