What if there were BAF MU?

What do you guys think? Doesn't have to be huge figures. But maybe bigger figures to be in better scale. Like a BAF Hulk, Apocalypse, Ares, etc etc.

Fortune 10-14-2011 04:16 PM

I would love it. BAF are a great way to get me to buy figs I normally wouldnt want and also a way to give me a bit more bang for my buck!

Exactly!!! I just hope they wouldn't charge more!

Nexodusrex 10-14-2011 04:20 PM

they would charge more. hasbro tried it with star wars with build a droid. had to have special packaging and a higher price

MU dosent need it. it has gigantic battles and BAF would just make you buy figures you dont want.

Well Gigantic figures is one. But I'm talking about just taller figures. Like Ares or Hulk. If they got rid of the stands to add a limb I wouldn't mind it being $.50-.75 cents more. Maybe even a $1 depending on what type of figures we get.

Fortune 10-14-2011 04:27 PM

They could possibly do like build a vehicle type thing. Or hell even give a normal sized baf just of characters that normally wouldnt be made like Jarvis or something.

MeLikeJinx 10-14-2011 04:28 PM

IMO it would be impossible to complete the fig because of how many people just buy the more popular figs or variants and a lot of MU figs are single packed too.

Do Boy 10-14-2011 04:30 PM

Not a bad idea on Jarvis. But I don't think I would be wiling to pay more for a figure like that.

I don't think it would be any different. It might be a little harder. But prolly not a noticeable difference.

Totally agree 100%!

MU works as it is- that BAF noise...it sucks. They do that to push characters like Killer Moth that would never ever sell in a million years otherwise.

NerfTW 10-14-2011 04:36 PM

Keep in mind the Star Wars BADs were almost exclusively the same molds with a new head. So not exactly amazing. And the part would regularly be stolen.

I'm against BAFs. It forces me to buy figures I don't want. In the Star Wars case, I wound up paying $30 for HK-47 on Ebay, which was still $20 less than buying the wave separately. And I only wanted ONE figure in that wave. So either way, I had to overpay for the figure.

I'd much rather they do a creature pack or small vehicle type series to get out large characters. It's not like there are that many, and I like the size of the Hulk figures so far, so that's not a deal maker for me. But BAF type waves are just cheap ways to force people to buy things they don't want.

I never saw Dr. Strange at retail, only saw Cable once. Plus, MU LOVES revision cases... IMO having all those different wave BAF parts in one case would probably frustrate people hoping a certain fig appears in a revision case just to complete his figure.

BUT. I wouldn't mind if the BAF figure is an obscure character that nobody cares about (which they usually are, lol), so it would be like an extra bonus to the hardcore collector. Except that it would probably mean opening up all your figs to build the characters and I know A LOT of MU collectors are MOC collectors. LOL.

Reaver Strike 10-14-2011 04:39 PM

I loved the BAF with Legends. But it got me to buy figures I wouldn't have otherwise.

Do Boy 10-14-2011 04:40 PM

I guess you make a good point. I guess I saw it as I collect them all either way. So it didn't really bother me if I had to buy ones I didn't want just to get a BAF piece

Boba Fettuccini 10-14-2011 04:42 PM

I'd hate it. if they did something like Jarvis as a BAF, but I only wanted one figure from the wave... ugh. I'm sooo against BAF. I don't want to be forced to buy things I don't want just to get something I DO want.

Jason Abbadon 10-14-2011 04:43 PM

We need a sort of "Lrgendary Riders" pack instead of the comic packs- Hawkeye on Sky Cycle, Cap on motorcycle, Valkerie on Valinor, Jewel riding Cage like the bitch he clearly is...

The exclusive shold have been a Jarvis/Wong two pack.
Or a Sharon carter/Maria Hill two pack.

bmorr 10-14-2011 05:00 PM

i hate the idea. it means i have to spend more money on characters i dont care about.

Do Boy 10-14-2011 05:03 PM

Going under the assumption you won't that particular BAF. And what would be so different about ML? You guys are saying you want every ML figure?

bmorr 10-14-2011 05:06 PM

i dont have any intention of collecting ML. i dont get what your saying man.

Jason Abbadon 10-14-2011 05:08 PM

I suppose you could just collect...parts.
Might make for a great and gory Wolverine diorama.

That last post wasn't geared towards you specifically. I'm gearing it towards the ML collectors in general.

thechris 10-14-2011 05:17 PM

I would hate BAF. I already resent having to buy crappy figures for DCUC just to get a BAF I want and yeah, some are impossible to find. And no way would they only charge $.50 more. It'd be more like $1.25 to $1.50 more. For $.50 more, they'd be giving us a tall BAF for $2.50 or $3.00 which is unlikely. :/

Fortune 10-14-2011 05:34 PM

As a ML collector I must say I have had to buy many figures I did not want and still don't like. Just to get a complete BAF

bmorr 10-14-2011 05:35 PM

well i love the idea of the 12 inch greatest battles. and the concept works for us collectors
